A num- ber of visiting brethren were present, Mr. and Mrs, Jahn Skea, Dor- Obituary ROBERT ALLAN Robert Allan, of Brucefield, passed away ,at Huronview on Saturday, November 25, in his 89th year. Surviving are his wife, the former Ann Isabella Petrie; one son, Robert P. Allan, of Brucefield; one daughter, Mrs. Murray (Anna Elizabeth) Squires, of Sarnia, and four grandchildren. Public funeral service was held from Bonthron funeral .home on Monday, conducted by Rev. E. D. Mrs, George Hess returned home Sunday ,after spending two weeks with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. J. L. McCloy, at Don Mills. Charles Mickle, of Hamilton, and Miss Ann Mickle, of UW4, London, visited their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Laird Mickle, over the week -end. Mrs. Fred Beer is a patient in South Huron Hospital. Daniel and her sister, Mrs. Bickell. 0 ------ Amber Rebekahs Meet in Hensall A speeiar meeting of Amber Rebekah Lodge was held on Wednesday evening, November 22, at the request of the dis- trict deputy president Mrs. Mar- jorie Broadfoot, of Brucefield, for the visit of the Rebekah assembly president, Mrs. Mar- jorie MacLean, of Wyoming. Guests were members of Edel- weis Lodge, Seaforth, and Hur- onic Lodge, Clinton. Corsages were presented to the district and assembly presi- dents by the members, the lat- ter presenting hers to the old- est Rebekah member, Mrs. Ellen Walker, of Hensall Lodge. Prize for the person with birthday closest to meeting went to Mrs. Leona Parke. A social hour was spent and lunch served by the committee. 0 Shopping Hours For Christmas Santa Claus will visit Hensall on Saturday afternoon, Decem- ber 16, at 2 p.m., when the children will be treated to a free show in town hall, choco- late bars, potato chips and chocolate milk, compliments of Hurondale Dairy. There will be free skating in Hensall Arena on Wednes- day afternoons from 4 to 5:30 during December. In January Saturday afternoon skating will be enjoyed. Hensall stores will be open Monday through Saturday in December. SAMUEL THOMSON Mrs. Samuel Thomson, form- erly of Brucefield, passed away in Clinton Public Hospital on Sunday, November 25, where she had been a patient for one and a half years. She was 62. Mrs. Fred Beer was nomi- nated for the PUC seat but did not qualify. Clerk Bari Campbell said the village's financial business was sound and that the balance at the end of the year would be about 27 or 28 thousand dollars. Giving the PUC report, Wil- liam Fuss said that in his opin- ion the water meters in the village had been a mistake.
