REST HOME NEWS
and VIEWS
By
Lance J. Reed, Superintendent
We are happy to welcome Mr.
Leland Walden, of Clinton, as
a resident to our Home. I sin-
cerely hope he will enjoy his
stay with us.

The following have made
donations to our Home and a
"thank you" is extended to
them for their kindness: Mrs,.
William 1s1eLachlan, of Kippers,
for baskets of carrots; Mrs, Wal-
lace Grin, erich. for a quantity,
of tomatoes: Mrs. Tillie Tetreau,
for a number of mixing and
serving bowls; and Mrs, Keith
Westlake, for large quantity of
magazines for our library, These
last three donors are from the
Zurich area.
On Saturday last at 10:45
a.m., the residents gathered in
the Home chapel for a Remem-
brance Day service. Rev. An-
drew Blackwell, of St. Peter's
Luther Church Zurich, led the
short service. Mrs. Beatrice
Hess, of Zurich, presided at the
chapel organ, and Master Steven

the case but with no success,
The only alternative was to
purchase new snuggles.
The only other article lost
between our former home and
our present abode was my
kitchen scissors, and somehow
I'm almost certain there is a
connection between the two
disappearances. Those thick
absorbent wiping cloths my son
was using on moving day re-
sembled father's underwear, 1
recall.
We're settled now, thank you.
Moving has accomplished one
important thing for our house-
hold. It has brought us closer
together in every sense of the
words.
Horner played the Last Post on
his trumpet. Sincere thanks to
all of you who took part and
helped make this such an im-
pressive service for our resi-
dents. The Hensall Legion sup-
plied the residents and staff
with poppies. Thi kind gesture
was greatly appreciated.
