The resi- dents will be very happy to see you and take part in your trick??? or treat??? (Intended for last week) Last Saturday was "Goad Turn Day" across Canada for the Girl Guide organization. So on that day the Zurich Girl Guides visited the Home to do their part in "operation good turn" . They came at noon ,hour and served all the residents in the dining room their dinner which our cook had prepared. Then the girls sat at he tables with the residents to eat their dinner. After dinner they cleared tables, assisted some of the residents back to their rooms, wrote letters for them and did any other little odd jobs that the residents wished. To conclude their activities they gathered together in the main lobby and sang several of their campfire songs for the resi- dents. The leaders of the Zur- ich Guide troop and the parents of the Guides can be very proud of their girls on the fine way they took part in this "Good Turn Day" that other Girl Guides across the land were taking part in. * * * Members of the Exeter Lions Club visited the Home last Sun- day afternoon and took a large number of the residents for an hour's drive around the coun- tryside, and for a special treat. Several days of good weather would allow most farmers to complete the harvest. The rain has made corn har- vesting difficult as the fields are very sticky. The ensilage crop in the county has been nearly all harvested and yields were good. A small acreage of grain corn has been harvested but the ma- jority has not reached the proper moisture level as yet. The next few weeks will show a marked increase in the amount of grain corn harvested. That is, if the rain holds off. To date, a small percentage of the grain corn in Huron County has been harvested. 4 DOWN ON THEIR KNEES — One of the most miserable jobs in connec- tion with the laying of plastic pipe in the Zurich Arena over the past week -end was the nailing down of the Bowling Scores MEN'S BOWLING LEAGUE Cameos, D.
