SNELL—WESTLAKE
In a marriage ceremony in
Calvary 'Baptist Church, Goder-
ich, on September 16, 1967, at
2:00 p.m., Sandra Westlake be-
came the bride of Ronald Gord-
on Snell. Pastel shades of
glads formed the setting for the
double ring ceremony per-
formed by Rev. Donald Fitch-
ett, of St. Thomas.
The bride is the slaughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon T. West-
lake. Bayfield, and the groom's
parents are Mr. and Mrs. Ernest
Snell, of RR 3, Blyth.
Given in marriage by her fa-
ther, the bride was attired in
a princess styled floor -length
gown of silk organza over taf-
feta featuring a full cathedral
train of lace. Her fine illusion
veil was ornamented with
tiny sequins and was held
by a tiny tiara. She carried a
white Bible crested with a White
orchid and white streamers.
Mrs. Rosalie Busch, sister of
the bride, was matron of honor
and bridesmaids were Miss
Cathy George, St. Thomas, and
Miss Barbara Westlake, sister
of the bride. They were gowned
alike in street length dresses
of shocking pink peau de sole
over taffeta with lace train at
back to hemline and featuring
lace bell sleeves. They had
matching accessories and car-
ried baskets of red and white
carnations and white baby
mums.
Groomsman was Marvin Snell,
brother of the groom. Ronald
Westlake, brother of the bride,
and John McDowell ushered
guests.
Soloist, Miss Elaine Westlake,
Zurich, cousin of the bride,
sang "Each for the Other" and
"Oh Perfect Love" and was ac-
companied by Louise Talbot at
the organ.
A reception was held on the
lawn at the home of the bride's
parents.
The bride's mother chose a
peacock blue chevrette dress
with black accessories and a
corsage of pink roses, and the
groom's mother wore a green
crepe sheath dress with crystal
trim and beige and brown ac-
cessories and corsage of yellow
roses.
For a wedding trip to the
western provinces the bride
changed to a coral wool dress
with black accessories and a
white orchid corsage.
The couple will reside at RR
3, Blyth.
Pre -nuptial showers were
held at the home of Eva Man-
chester, St. Thomas; Mrs. Eliza-
