Miss Janet Alexine Dietrich,

the late Pius C. Dietrich, RR 3,
Dashwood, became the bride of
Barry Gordon Bloch son of Mr.
and Mrs. Gordon Bloch, Zurich,
in a ceremony performed by
Rev. A. P. Jansen in Our Lady
of Mount Carmel Church on
Saturday, September 16, at 1:00
o'clock.
Baskets of Piccadilly gladioli
and fern and pew markers of
the salve glads with white rib-
bons were used for the occa-
sion. Mr, Paul Dietrich played
the wedding music and accom-
panied the soloist, Miss Cheryl
Stade, Zurich, who sang "Be
Thou With Them" and "Ave
Marie".
Given in marriage by her
godfather, Mr. Milford Ayotte,
the bride chose a floor -length
gown of white lagoda. The
bodice was highlighted by a
scoop neckline, elbow -length
sleeves and a gently fitted waist.
Chantilly lace .touched with tiny
seed pearls enhanced the neck-
line and waist. The feature of
attraction was the detachable
chapel train cascading from a
bow at the back neckline and
silhoueted with the same lace.
A headpiece of Swiss Guipure
lace petals with tiny pearls held
her bouffant silk illusion veil.
She carried a cascade of orange
roses and variegated ivy with
moss green velvet ribbon fall-
ing to the floor.
Matron of honor was Mrs.
Gary Middleton, Exeter, wear-
ing nile green floor -length chif-
fon over taffeta. The sleeve-
less gown was styled with em-
pire waistline, sheath skirt and
a flattering panel falling from
the cowl neckline of shrimp
and nile green flowered em-
broidery trine.

Stephens Council Takes Steps
To Improve Travelling on Roads
At its latest meeting Stephen
Township council took official
steps to improve the safety for
travellers on township roads by
passing by-laws to erect stop
signs at several locations and
regulate parking at another,
The by-laws that were passed
are being forwarded to the On-
tario Department of Transport
for their approval before the
signs can be erected.
The first stop sign will be
erected to halt south -bound traf-
fic on the road between con-
cessions 22 and S a u b 1 e, bet-
ter known as the Mollard Line
where it intersects with the
Stephen and McGillivray town -
line.
The other sign will be placed
at the southerly end of the
Blind Road between lot 19, con.
22 and lot 43, South Boundary
concession where it meets the
same county road.
The regulated parking by-law
will restrict parking in a cer-
tain area in front of the Ontario
Water Resources water treat-
ment plant, north of Grand
Bend, The No Parking Signs
will be placed 80 feet apart in
front of the two entrances to
the plant on the south side of
the boundary road between Hay
and Stephen townships, just
west of Highway 83.
Looking ahead to next year
council designated the bridge
construction they would like to
have done and will be asking
the Ontario Department of High-
ways for their consent to go
guests.
The reception was held in
Dashwood Community Centre
where the bride's mother re-
ceived in an azure blue brocad-
ed lace dress over taffeta, mat-
ching tulle hat and accessories.

wearing jade green lace over
taffeta with black accessories.
For travelling to Quebec and
Expo the bride wore a three-
