Married in Lutheran Church WEIGAND—PEPPER Baskets of yellow gladioli, white daisy mums and cande- labra formed the setting in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Zur- ich. on Saturday, July 8, 1967, at 4 p.m., for the marriage of Doris Margaret Alma Pepper and William Gerald Weigand. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Pepper RR 1, Dashwood, and the groom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Louis Weigand, RR 1, Dashwood. Pastor A. Blackwell officiated for the double ring ceremony. Soloist, Mary Ann Hayter, sang "The Wedding Prayer" and "The Lord's Prayer" and was accompanied at the organ by Joanne Elligsen. Given in marriage by her fa- ther, the bride chose a floor - length silk organza gown on empire lines. The bodice was styled with short sleeves and a bateau neckline edged with ap- controlled skirt was enhanced by a lace edged chapel train sweeping from the shoulders. A four -tiered French illusion veil was held by a dainty clus- ter of petals and roses. She carried a white Bible crested with a white orchid, yellow roses and trailing ivy, Maid of honor was Ruthanne Pepper, and Julene Elliott and Joan Pepper were bridesmaids. They wore identical duckling floor -length gowns of imported yum yum chiffon over faille taffeta on empire lines with elbow -length trumpet sleeves. A panel attached at the waist- line extended to the hemline. Their headpieces were a cluster of rosese and ruffles made of same material and they carried a cascade of yellow button mums and white Shasta daisies, Douglas Weigand was the groomsman, and Fred Negryn and Don Weigand ushered the guests. pliques of Guipure lace. For receiving guests the bride's mother chose an aqua two-piece jacket dress of imported silk shantung, white accessories and a corsage of white roses. The :;room's mother assisted wear- ing a pink iuetallie brocade dress, white accessories and a corsage of white roses. For travelling the bride changed to a white worsted wool two-piece dress, navy ac- cessories, Breton hat and a cor- sage of red roses. The couple will reside in Ex- eter where the groom is em- ployed with Conklin Lumber Co. Ltd., and the bride with the Exeter Public School Board. Prior to the wedding, the bride was feted at a number of miscellaneous showers. At the home of Mrs, Elmer Rader, the hostesses were Mrs. Rader and Mrs. Delmar Miller. At the home of Mrs. Glenn Rader, Dashwood, hostesses were Mrs. Rader, Mrs. Don Mantey and Mrs. John Shaw. Mrs. Edgar Elligsen and Miss Margaret Deichert were host- esses at a shower at the home of the bride's grandmother, Mrs. Victor Deichert, In London a shower was held at the home of Miss Joan Burchell, when the hostesses were Miss Burchell and Miss Helen Frydryzczyk. About Peop!e You Know .. . Dr. and Mrs. J. C. Wallace and family have returned home after spending a two-week va- cation in Montreal, Ottawa •and their cottage at Westdale Beach. They were accompanied home by Dr. Wallace's parents, who will spend this week with them before returning to England. Mr. and Mrs. Claire Geiger and Mrs. Milt Deitz spent Sun- day visiting with relatives in Galt. Mr. and Mrs. Cyril Ducharme, of Windsor, were Sunday visi- tors at the home of Mrs. Theresa Hartman. Mr. and Mrs. James Hackett, Linda and Doug, of Toronto, were week -end visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Steinbach. The two children are spending their vacation in the area. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Billington, Mark and Craig were week -end visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Turkheim and Richard. The Misses Barbara and Ann Kane, of California, are spend ing their vacation at the hom of their parents, Mr. and Mrs Frank Kane.
