We invite you to worship with us.! London, also called at the Sopha home. On Saturday night another downpour of rain saturated the land and to keep it wet for some days regardless of sunny days. Late planted beans with water standing on the ground will probably be affected. Per- haps we are in the midst of a three-month rain—it has hap- pened before and why not again. This three-month rain does not mean a daily rain but brok- en weather for 90 days. In the year of 1916 or thereabouts was one of those wet summers where farmers were almost un- able to cut their wheat crop, but regardless of much rain the bean crop was fairly good. The sad part for the farmers that year, the land had so dried up that many farmers could not plow. The two most important holi- days of the year have passed on, Dominion Day for the Ca- nadians and July 4 for Ameri- cans. Those two holidays being so close can mean nothing but sad tragedy on the highways. Some do not even reach their destination before a death crash happens them and others after an enjoyable visit with their loved ones also meet death be- fore their return. Many lose their life through no fault of their own and it will probably continue that way from year to year. 0 Mr. and Mrs. Bill Merner and family, London, were visitors with the latter's mother, Mrs. M. Bedard, and other relatives. SEPBEIRKIIMENEMINISMEI St. Peter's Lutheran Church Rev. A. C. Blackwell, B.A., B.D. Pastor SUNDAY, JULY 2 — 10:00 a.m.—Sunday School. 11:00 a.m.—Worship Service.
