THE FORD FAMILY OF DASHWOOD —
Hilton Ford driving this rig has quite a pretty
cargo of ladies with him in the Centennial parade
at Dashwood last Sunday afternoon. Seated be-
side him is a grand -daughter, Lisa Miller. Others
in the photo are (left to right) Mrs. Hubert Miller,
Dashwood; Mrs. Marie Brintnell, Jarvis; Mrs. Al-
mira Ford, Exeter, and Kathy Brintnell. This par-
ticular entry underwent some hasty repairs imme-
diately prior to the parade when the ancient vehicle
crumbled in the centre when its passengers climbed
aboard.
THIS WAS THE POST OFFICE — This float
depicting the history of the post office in Dashwood
was planned and presented by E. R. Guenther (left)
who was postmaster in Dashwood for over 40 years.
Others on the wagon were (left to right) Addison
Tiernan, Alvin Walper and Lloyd Guenther (partly
hidden by Mr. Walper) . The weather was ideal for
the Dashwood Centennial celebrations which have
been lauded as the best event in the village for
years and years.
