Mrs, Rader, who has spent years searching old files, documents and newspap- ers and questioning life-long residents of Dashwood and the surrounding area, had traced the history of the village since the arrival of Freid brothers in the early 1800s, when Dashwood was known as Freidsburg. During the pageant, scenes from the past, mounted on flat wagon racks and trucks, were drawn into place before the crowd. Following a picnic supper in the park with free coffee, served by members of the Dashwood Women's Institute; an evening inter -denominational w o r h 1 p service was conducted with music provided by a mass choir from the two churehes.
