Because of rain, the picnic had to be held indoors, but however all enjoyed the games that were played and of course everybody thought the picnic supper that the auxiliary supplied was out of this world, with so many dif- ferent dishes of food. A thank you to the Ladies' Auxiliary for the work they are doing here. * * Mrs. Elgin McKinley, who is the worthy matron of the East- ern Star in Exeter, held an afternoon tea here at the Home. A centennial theme prevailed throughout the tea, with the ladies being dressed in very lovely centennial dresses. The ladies supplied everything, the Home let them use our facili- ties. I had the privilege of taking about 90 ladies on escort- ed tours of the Home. This was the first time many of the ladies had been here, and all seemed delighted with what they saw.
