Mother's Day
On Sunday last was Mother's
Day, an annual event which is
set aside for children to greet
their mother and where moth-
ers look for the day to wel-
come her children who come
from afar and abroad to pass
the day with her. Mothers had
made special preparations for
the occasion for some time to
be in readiness, In this sur-
rounding many of the homes
had their children during some
part of the day.
In their infancy mothers had
cradled them, she had eared
for them in their school days,
she had cared for them in their
teen years and also even though
they too have become parents
themselves she still gives them
words of encouragement when
they are in despair.
Those who still have living
mothers to cherish should be
proud and happy. Some moth-
ers, during their life, had given
both temporal and spiritual ad-
vice to the highest authority of
our land and it was accepted.
Mothers, many times, played
well their role in life by their
kind deeds and acts which are
always beneficial, therefore we
should not greet mothers only
on Mother's Day but should do
so all the days of our lives for
when they have passed away
from the scene there will be
only memories left for us to
think of and of the many inci-
dents during their life in our
midst.
