REST HOME NEWS

During this past week we
were happy to welcome Henry
Howald, of Zurich, as a resident
to our Home.
Sincere thanks is extended to
the following: Bayfield United
Church Women, who came and
presented a program for our
resident last Thursday (our
residents enjoyed the meeting
and 'the tasty refreshments that
the Bayfield ladies provided);
thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Harry
Bassow, of Zurich, for their gift
of home preserves.
I have covered each inch of
ground (here and cannot find a
sprig of rhubarb. Perhaps some
reader s, when transplanting
time is right, could let us have
some roots, or perhaps some-
body might have a large supply
that we could come and pick
so that our residents might en-
joy a spring treat.
This week we have been hap-
py to welcome and to have with
us, Miss Grace Lewis from the
department of public welfare
in Toronto. Miss Lewis has
been in our hobby shop this
week and we have appreciated
her assistance and advice.
The Centennial reminders
that we received from our
member of parliament, Bob Mc-
Kinley, were greatly appreciat-
ed. Our residents were de-
lighted with them and thrilled
to know that someone on Par-
liament Hill was thinking of
them.
Several people have asked me
if we are going to have a gar-
den here at the Home. Well,
the answer is yes, if I can find
somebody to work up a little
piece of ground for us. If you
feel you could .help us, please
call and let me !know, I have
