ST. JOSEPH and DRYSDALE
Alfred Ducharme, Correspondent
Blaise Ducharme and son
Vincent, of Windsor, spent the
geek -end with his parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Fred Ducharme, of
this highway, returning to their
home on Sunday last.
Mr. and Mrs. Dolph Sopha
motored to Mount Carmel on
Saturday last where they spent
the day with their daughter
and son-in-law; Mr. and Mrs.
Jahn Mahoney,
Mr. and Mrs. Pete Geoffroi,
in company with Mr. and Mrs.
Ed Corriveau, motored to Lon-
don on Saturday last to pay a
visit to Leon Bedard, who is a
patient in St. Josephs Hospital,
Mr. Bedard has been almost
four weeks away from his home
going through surgery. At last
report he was improving some,
but will be some time yet be-
fore coming hone. We wish
him a speedy recovery.
Master Freddie Ducharme, of
the Blue Water south, returned
to his home on Saturday last
from St. Joseph's Ho s p i t a 1
where he went through some
surgery. He will go back to
the hospital some day this week
for a check up. (Cheers!)
Peter Jeffrey, who had the
1
misfortune of breaking a leg
last fall, had an x-ray taken on
Monday last, at time of writ-
ing no results yet. The acci-
dent occurred six months ago.
Peter is full of courage and is
patiently awaiting the day when
he will lay aside his crutches
and help himself again.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Deitrich
and family, of Zurich, were
Sunday last visitors with Mr.
and Mrs. Dolph Sopha.
The sunny days of the past
week played its role on the
heavy coated snow on the
ground. Lucky for low land
areas that there was no rain
along with the melting sun for
we beieve there could have
been much flooding as most of
the farm ditches were filled
tight with frozen snow and ice.
The month of March so far
has not been cold nor was it
stormy. Perhaps the month of
February had taken its place
for storms, The ground hog
predicition has almost •come to
the end of the six weeks. You
can now look back before you
forget and see in your opinion
if he seen his shadow or not,
for he was confined in his den
less than four weeks.
