REST HOME NEWS
and VIEWS
By
Lance J. Reed, Superintendent
Here we are on our way into
another year. Sincere best
wishes for 1967 to all readers
are the greetings from all here
at the Home.
Next week I will have a com-
plete list of our Christmas 'ac-
tivities here. The Christmas
decorations are .all being put
away and the residents are now
considering suitable decorations
for Canada's birthday. I was
very pleased with our residents
for they made most of our
Christmas decorations.
So that we may fulfill future
projects the following items are
needed. Perhaps you have some
around your home that we could
use that you no longer have any
use for: all types of old jewel-
lery and in particular strings of
beads, all different shapes and
sizes and colors; all types of
plastic bottles and containers,
and in particular we could use
old Christmas cards. There is
a box placed in the store of
Gingerich's Sales and Service so
that any persons may leave
their old cards and other items
there, rather than trying to
come out to the Horne. I do
hope that you will assist us in
our needs.
From the last list of residents
that I gave you before Christ-
mas we are very happy to wel-
come the following who have
come to live with us: Mrs. Eliza-
beth Zimmerman, Mrs. Mary
Stephan, Mrs. Emily Meiclinger,
and Mrs. Elizabeth Carnie, all
who •have lived in Zurich or
area at some time in their
lives; Mrs. Elizabeth McFarlane
from Grand Bend, and Richard
Kinsman, from Seaforth.
