Christmas decorations, Per-
haps you might have some you
no longer have need for. We
have a large home to decorate
and they can be used from year
to year, therefore anything you
might be able to spare could
be put to good use here.
We are in need of four Christ-

heights, also green boughs for
decorations. Perhaps some of
our readers could spare us one

We are indeed grateful to feet to the lake bottom, where
Keith Westlake for the loan of it squats over the end of the
system's 8 -000 -foot concrete in-
take pipe, To sink the crib,
nearly 12,000 gallons of water
were pumped into large tanks
located along each of its eight
sides. A mixture of sand and
cement pumped into these
tanks makes the installation
permanent, and cloth bags filled
with the - same mixture are
placed against the sides of the
crib for added protection.
Water entering the intake
will undergo rough screening
through a series of heavy Doug-
las fir planks, placed on their
edges three inches apart.
The project's consulting en-
gineers noted that little, if any,
deterioration will occur to the
steel portion of the crib clue to
special treating. Although the
three -by -12 inch planks are un-
treated, they should last indef-
initely also because wood, when
completely submerged in water,
is not subject to decay.
Work is progressing on other
phases of the system as well.
Installation of equipment is
continuing at the low lift pump-
ing station, which will lift
water about 70 feet from the
intake to the filtration plant.
Backfilling around the station
is completed, and one-half of
its pre -cast concrete roof has
been installed.
Concrete work for the water
treatment plant and high lift
pumping station is practically
completed, and over 70 per
cent of the treatment plant
area has been roofed. Instal -

symptoms: Lights may dim
from time to time, your
toaster will take longer
to toast, and appliances
with motors may appear
sluggish.
If your home is more
than 10 years old,
the chances are your elec-

modated.

ence to the safety and
