Pearl Passmore, of Hen- sall, and Mr. and Mrs. Felix Boogeman, Burlington, have re- turned from a pleasant two -weeks' vacation at Pike Bay. Mr. and Mrs, William Howe and their daughter and son-in- law, Mr. and Mrs. Vern Somers, Toronto, were week -end visitors with Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Foster. Charles Mickle returned home last Thursday by jet from Rome with a group of teachers from 'Hamilton and district, who were on a world tour. They spent several days in Japan, China, India, Egypt and Greece. They also spent a few days in Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand, Cam- bodia, Kashmir, Iran and Italy. Charles reports that the trip was very interesting and in- formative and the hospitality in each country was excellent. Sgt. and Mrs. Robert Lambie and family, of Gypsumville, Man., were the guests of Mrs. Grace Harpole last week. M.r. and Mrs. Stewart Mc- Queen entertained relatives at dinner on Sunday at Hotel Hen- sall and afterwards at their home, 79 South Rilhmonn St. The occasion marked Mr. and Mrs. McQueen's 55th wedding anniversary, the 15th wedding anniversary of their son-in-law MRS. MAUDE REDDEN, Editor and- daughter, -Mr, -and -Mrs. Harry Snell, and the birthday of their daughter, Mrs. Donald Rigby, of Blenheim. Jack Henderson has sold his property on King Street, form- erly known as the egg grading station, to Bill Fuss. Week -end guests with Mr. and Mrs. Stewart McQueen and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Snell were Mrs. J. D. Reid and Miss Minnie Reid, London; Mr. and Mrs. Terry North and Teresia, of St. Thomas; Mrs. John Rigby, Mr. and Mrs. Don Rigby, Mrs. Bill Knights, Stewart and Jane, of Blenheim. Mr. and Mrs. Austin Schwalm and Susan, Stratford; Mr. and Mrs. Lee Schwalm and Brian, Hamilton; Mrs. Lep Divira, Jenny, Bobby and Patti, Chi- cago; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur O'Hara and Peter, London; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hansen, Strat- ford, were week -end visitors with Mrs. Violet Schwalm and Ray. Miss Margaret Fuss, RN, of Honolulu, Hawaii, is vacation- ing for two months with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Fuss, and other relatives. Mr. and Mrs. R. S. McLean and family, Elliot Lake, were recent visitors with his aunt, Mrs. E. Sproat. Dr. and Mrs. W. R. Sproat and family, Wind - MR. AND MRS. DONALD CARL COGHLIN were mar- ried recently in Carmel Presbyterian Church, Hensall, by Rev. J. C. Boyne. The bride is Patricia Rachel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Schwalm, Hensall and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Norman P. Coghlin, RR 4, Atwbod. The couple will reside in Blyth. Functions On Saturday, August 13, Mrs. John Dunnell entertained at a trousseau tea honoring her daughter Barbara, whose mar- riage to Donald Kyle took place Saturday afternoon, August 20, in Zion. East United Church. Mrs. Dunnell, Barbara and Mrs. Bryan Kyle, mother •of the groom, received .the guests. The tea table was lovely with a lace cloth centred with a sil- ver bowl of white mums and pink carnations, flanked with pink tapers. Pouring tea were Mrs. Ernest Marriott, great aunt of the bride; Mrs. T. Kyle, of Hensall, grandmother of the groom, and Miss Isabell Dun- nell and Mrs. M. Dann, aunts of ,the bride. Serving were Miss Ann Thomson, Mrs. D. Henry, Miss Marlene Baker and Mrs. J. Baker. Displaying the trous- seau were Mrs. Ken Walker and Miss Suzanne Kyle, and in the gift room were Miss Sandra Dunnell and Miss Nancy Kyle, of Hensall. The kitchen helpers were Mrs. Harold Stevens, Mrs. Har- vey Dunnell and Mrs. Charles Gowan. The bride has been honored with several showers. The staff of William Tredway School in Scarborough entertained with a miscellaneous shower. Host- esses for other miscellaneous showers were Mrs. Ken Walker at her home in London; Mrs. Elmer Stevens and Mrs. Nelson Sweitzer at the former's home in Rannoch; Eighth Line Com - ZURICH, CIPZEN#5. NEWS munity and Prospect Hill In- stitute at Prospect Hill; Miss Suzanne Kyle and Miss Nancy Kyle at the latter's home in Hensall, and Miss Isabell Dun- nell at her home in St. Marys. Following the wedding re- hearsal Friday night, Mr. and Mrs. Byran Kyle entertained the bridal party at their home in Hensall. Wedding PAGE THREE KYLE—DUNNELL Barbara Anne Marie Dunnell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Dunnell, RR 6, St. Marys, was united in marriage to Donald Campbell Kyle, of Hamilton, son of Mr, and Mrs. Byran Kyle, of Hensall, at Zion East United Church, August 20, 1966, at 3:30 p.m., in a double -ring ceremony performed by Rev. Dr. Ross Crosby, amid a setting of baskets of white gladioli and mums, and candelabra. Given in marriage by her fa- ther, the bride looked lovely in a formal gown of white peau de soie, with empire waist, scoop neckline and puritan sleeves covered in lace. Her chapel train, edged in lace, fell from a small bow in back. Petal headpiece held three -tiered el- bow -length veil •of silk illusion and she carried a cascade of white roses, stephanotis and mums. Mrs. Ken Walker, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Her gown was a crystal blue crepe formal dress, with empire waist and lace bodice with scoop neckline and elbow -length sleeves, matching shoes and bow headpiece. She carried a cascade of rose-colored carna- tions and roses and white lilies. Bridesmaids were Mrs, Peter Kruuck, Scarborough, and Miss Suzanne Kyle, London, sister of the groom, who were gowned identically to that of the matron of honor. Eric Mousseau, of Hensall, was best man, and Steve Kyle, Hensall, and Doug Brintnell, London, ushered guests, Mrs. Charles Gowan, Granton, provided traditional wedding music and accompanied the sol- oist, Mrs, Jimima McRae, of Rexdale, who sang "The Wed- ding Prayer" and "The Lord's Prayer", The bride's mother chose a blue green brocaded dress with matching feather and black ac- cessories, with a white carna- tion and stephanotis corsage. The groom's mother wore a pink lace dress with three- quarter length lace coat and matching pink feather hat, with black accessories and corsage of rose-colored carnations and roses. The wedding dinner was held in the church parlors with the reception and dance in Zurich Community Centre, when the couple were presented with a purse of money.
