READY FOR OCCUPANCY—The new Stephen Town-
ship Central School is now completed, and will be ready for
use when the school term re -opens in September. All that
remains to be completed is the landscaping, and this project
is under way at the present time. The new school will serve
the •children in both Dashwood and Crediton, as well as the
entire township.

Miss Susan Manson has re-
turned to Toronto after spend-
ing a couple of weeks with Mr.
and Mrs. Newell Geiger.
Mrs. C. Haist visited this past
Sunday with friends in Strat-
ford.
William Davidson is a pa-
tient in S h o l d i c e Hospital,
Thornhill, where he is under-
going surgery.
Keith Westlake is a patient
in St. Joseph's Hospital, Lon-
don, where he underwent sur-
gery last week.
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Good -
child, of Hamilton, visited last
week with Mrs. Rose Butler.
Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Howe have
just arrived from Arizona to
spend the summer months in
Ontario. They visited on Sun-
day with Mr. and Mrs. Delbert
Geiger, along with Dr. and Mrs.
W. A. Howe and Andrew, of
Niagara Falls; Mrs. R. N. Peck,
of Hensall, and Mr. and Mrs.
Ken Gemmell, of Kippen.
Mrs, Keith Westlake has re-
turned to her home after being
a patient in St. Joseph's Hos-
pital, London.
Mr. and Mrs. Cyril K. Ginger-
ich have arrived in Zurich for
a furlough, after .spending the
past three years in East Nigeria,
where Mr. Gingerich is super-
visor of a hospital.

Meet at Cottage
The Lutheran Church Women
met at the cottage of Mr. and
Mrs. Ferd Haberer on Tuesday
night, July 12, at Homestead
Heights. A pot -luck supper was
enjoyed, f o 11 o we d by some
games and contests. Mrs. Jack
Turkheim, Mrs. Claire Deichert,
Mrs. Earl Yungblut and Mrs.
Dashwood
Mrs. Fred Miller and Brenda
spent Tuesday with Mrs. Irvin
Rader and family.
Miss Anne Becker attended
camp at Camp Pioneer last
week.
Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Hutchin-
son, of Russel Point, Ohio, are
vacationing with Mrs. Henry
Eagleson and other relatives.
Sunday visitors with Mr. and
Mrs. Albert Rader were Mr. and
Mrs. Jack Cudmore, of Willow -
dale; Mr. and Mrs. Allan Klein-
stiver, of Aurora, I11.; Mr. and
Mrs. George Tiernan and family
and Mrs. Lucinda Mcisaac. The
occasion was Mrs. Rader's birth-
day.

tee in charge,
After a happy hour of fellow-
ship and fun, the meeting was
called to order by Mrs. Turk-
heim with devotions and was
then turned over to the presi-
dent for the business part.
There were 25 .present and
the president, Mrs. Carl Willert,
welcomed as guests, Mrs. Ray
Waters, a former member, who
now resides in Ottawa, and Mrs.
Ruccius, of Winnipeg, Mrs.
Blackwell's mother, who is pres-
ently visiting et the parsonage.
The visiting committee re-
ported making 25 calls. Cookies
and cold drinks were served to
the Vacation Bible School by
the members.
An offering was taken for the
Cystic Fibrosis fund, which
amounted to $7.30.
An interesting account of the
annual convention held at Wat-
erloo June 15 and 16 was pre-
sented by Mrs. Herb Klopp and
Mrs. Carl Willert. Special
mention was made that Mrs. A.
Blackwell had been appointed
secretary of this unit.
The theme of the convention
was "Called to be ..." and it
was stressed Lutheran Church
Woman can serve and how
everyone is here for a special
purpose.
A get -well card bearing the
names of the nietnbers present
was sent to Mrs, Keith West-
lake, who is a patient at St.
Joseph's Hospital, London.
