Mr. and Mrs. Albert Shirray
deft Tuesday for a vacation to
the west coast.
Mrs. Donald MacKinnon is a
patient at St. Joseph's Hospital,
London.
Vernon and Orville Hedden,
St. Catharines, visited their
brother, Herb Hedden, for a
few days this week.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Lewis, of
Sarnia, left Wednesday by jet
on a teachers' flight for the
British Isles and the continent
of Europe, During their in-
tinerary they will visit France,
Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Bel-
gium, Holland and other coun-
triel. They expect to return
August 10. Their 13 -months -old
daugher, Shelley, is staying
with her grandparents, Mr. and
Mrs. Walter Spencer, during
their absence.
Miss Suzanne Kyle, a gradu-
ate of Goderich Business Col-
lege, has accepted a position in
the ,office of Dutch Laundry &
Dry Cleaners, London.
Don Kyle, on the staff of the
Bank of Montreal, Hamilton,
was a week -end visitor with his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Byron
Kyle.
Mr. and Mrs. Keith Lindsay
and family, of Hamilton, were
weekend visitors with Mrs(
John Henderson and family.
Their children, Pamela, Sheila
and Kevin, are spending their
vacation at the Henderson resi-
dence.

Visitors for a week with Mr.
aiid Mrs. Thomas Kyle Sr. were
Simon Kipfer, a brother of Mrs.
Kyle, and Mr. and Mrs. Mervin
Kipfer, a nephew, from Minne-
sota, First visit to 'Canada for
Mr. and Mrs. Mervin Kipfer,
they were thrilled with the
country and its beauty. They
also enjoyed touring Niagara
Falls and visited in St. Cath-
arines.
Mr. and Mrs. Alex Short -
house and family, St. Cath-
arines, and Austin Deitch, also
of St. Catharines, were week-
end visitors with Herb He;dden.

Roy Kyle has returned to
Newfoundland after a three
weeks' visit with his parents,
Mr. and Mrs. T. Kyle Sr.
Mrs. T. Kyle Sr. and her
niece, Miss Irma Kipfer, To-
ronto, left by plane Tuesday
morning for the States, where
they will spend two weeks vis-
iting with the former's brother,
Dave Kipfer, in Iowa, who is
in poor health, and will also
visit relatives in Minnesota.
Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Glan-
ville have taken up residence
in their home on Richmond
Street south.
Mrs. Archie Noakes has re-
turned from St. Joseph's Hos-
pital, London, where she was a
patient for two weeks, having
undergone surgery.
Ross Love, who spent a few
days in Madison, Wisconsin,
with his son, Dr. Robert Love,
and family, who recently took
up residence there, returned
hoarse Friday.
Mr. and Mrs. Don Volland
have rented the property of
Mrs. Archie Noakes on Queen
Street.
Cpl. C. K. Harrison, Mrs. Har-
rison, Barbara and Steven, of
Summerside, PET, are vacation-
ing for two weeks with the
latter's parents, Mr. and Mrs.
William Smale, and Sharon,
and other relatives. Cpl. Har-
rison has been posted to Camp
Bordon where he will teach
electronics.
Each classroom of Hensall
Public School held a party at
the school last Wednesday af-
ternoon, when prizes were
awarded and lunch enjoyed.
Students in grade 8 presented
their teacher, principal Robert
Reaburn, with an electric alarm
clock. The presentation was
made by Debbie Anderson.
Wins Draw
At Seaforth Lions carnival
Friday evening, Cindy Bisback,
five years of age, at present
receiving treatment at the Crip-
pled Children's Centre, London,
was the winner of a $40 tran-
sistor radio in a draw for sev-
eral prizes. Cindy is the little
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Grant
Bisback, of Hensall.

Married In Mount Carmel Church
HARTMAN — HOGAN
Rev. A. P. Jansen officiated
at a marriage ceremony Satur-
day, June 25, in Our Lady of
Mount Carmel Church for Rita
Hogan, daughter •of Mr. and
Mrs. Wilfred Hogan, RR 8,
Parkhill, and Gerald Hartman,
son of Mrs. Theresa Hartman,
Zurich.
Organist was Mrs. Michael
Hartman who also accompanied
the soloist, Marion MacDonald,
who sang Ave Maria, On This
Day and Wedding Prayer.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride chose a floor -
length dress of white peau de
soie fashioned with a fitted
waist, 'scoop neckline and lily -
point sleeves. Her train was
held at the waist by a tailored
bow. A queen's crown of seed
pearls and crystals held her
nylon finger-tip veil. She car-
ried a cascade of red roses and
baby mums.
Matron of honor, Mrs. Ed-
ward Mittelholtz, Exeter, and
bridesmaids Mrs. John McCann,
Dashwood, and Miss Margaret
Ann Hogan (all sisters of the
bride), were gowned similarly
in floor -length aqua dresses of
chiffon over taffeta styled with
scoop neckline, elbow -length
sleeves, with aqua •c h i f f on
panels in the back. They car-
ried cascades of white carna-
tions tinted with aqua.
The flower girl, Lynn Marie
Hartman, niece of the groom,
wore a floor -length dress of
white embroidered eyelet over
taffeta with aqua cummerbund.
Best man for his brother was
Robert Hartman and grooms-
men were Cyrille Hartman and
Joseph Hogan. The ringbearer
was Danny Mittelholtz, nephew
of the bride.
The bride's mother received
guests wearing ,a dress of pink
linen with lace bodice and white
accessories. The groom's moth-
er chose a dress of turquoise
linen with lace bodice and white
accessories.
