Dr. Norma Hopkinson of Lion's Head has returned atter Obituary CLARENCE H. LENAGHAN Residents of Hensall and community were saddened to learn of the sudden passing of a very fine citizen, Clarence H. Lenaghan, 45, who died very suddenly in his car at Richard- sons Garage on Friday evening, after making a purchase. Mr. Lenaghan, who has been a res- ident here for the past eight years, was a veteran of World MRS. MAUDE REDDEN, Editor visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. N. E. Cook, this week. Mrs. Alvina Mooney, Kings- ville, visited her daughter and son in-law, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. F 1 y n n, and grand -daughter Joyee, last week. Anniversary services will be held in Hensall United Church this Sunday,. June 12th at 11 A. M. and 7-30 P M. Guest minister is Rev. W. J. Rogers, of Erindale, a former minister. 'Sympathy is extended to Keith Lindsay of Hamilton, in the sudden passing of his father the late William Lindsay of St. Marys, who •died suddenly in St. Marys Memorial Hospital on Monday, May 30th in his 61st year. Dr. Gerald R. Collyer, 61, di- rector of the London Life In- surance Company, who passed away in Victoria Hospital, on Tuesday, May 31 was a former physician in Hensall for some years. Mrs. Alfred J. Smith was the lucky winner of a Polaroid land camera in a draw at Civet Hard- ware Saturday night. The Sacrament of Holy Com- munion was observed Sunday morning at the United Church. Ten members of Hensall Le- gion Ladies Auxiliary, together with members of Exeter Auxil- iary branch went to London Tuesday evening by chartered bus to entertain veterans at Westminster Hospital. Harvey Keys, Hensall, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest H. Chipchase, also of Hensall.. Rev. Harold F. Currie offici- ated, and organist Mrs. John Turkheim furnished the wed- ding music and accompanied the soloist, Mrs. Rae Whytock, London, who sang "The Wed- ding Prayer" and "The Lord's Prayer". Given in rnariage by her father, the bride chose a floor - length gown of French peau de faille, styled with empire waist and A-line skirt, elbow -length sleeves, scoop neckline with lace appliqued on the bodice. A chapel train with appliques of lace flowed from the waist. She carried a crescent bouquet of white roses and trailing ivy, intertwined with eoral tulle. Miss Louise Jones, London, as maid of honor, and Miss Linda Keys, Hensall, sister of the bride, as bridesmaid, were gowned alike in floor length dresses of fiesta coral georgette over taffeta. They featured empire waists, elbow -length sleeves and scoop necklines. Their tiny custom-made hats matched the gowns and fea- tured a pert bow at the back. They carried bouquets of white (Continued on page 8) Local Girl Guides Attend Camp Fifteen local guides spent an enjoyable week -end at Glen- Mac Boy Scout camp near Sea- forth, Camp Commandant was Hensall - Zurich district comm issioner, Mrs. Thomas Lavender assisted by the Hensall Brown ,Owl Mrs. Robert Cook. During campfire in an un - u s u, a 1 enrolment eetemoi1yl, four Hensall •girls made their Promises to Mrs. Lavender. They were Cathy Cook, Patty Ann Parker, Bonnie Sangster and Melonie Veal. Child care badges were awarded to Mary Mock, Pam Taylor, Kay Davis and Jane Smith (absent). Jane Pyette received her laundress, needle - woman, little house emblem and emergency helper badges. Mrs, Victor Pyette proudly wit- nessed the presentation of the first class badge to her daughter. A special visitor was Division Commissioner Miss Mary Mc- Millen, Goderieh. Other Hensall Guides at the week end camp were Jill Drys- dale, Karen Broderick, Cathy Fuss, Brenda Lavender and Pamela Mickle. FREDERICK WEBSTER Mrs. Frederick Webster, of Hensall, passed away in Clinton Public Hospital on Thursday, June 2 'having been admitted as a patient by Westlake ambulance Sunday evening, In her 65th year, she was the former Haz- elle G.
