Church was held Monday, April
4, with president Mrs. Earl
Campbell presiding. She ex-
tended a welcome to the 12
members and one guest pres-
ent..
Mrs. xtochus Faber and Mrs.
/en Purday presented the de-
votional, with _aster as the
theme, followed with the Eas-
ter Scripture reading, Articles
'In the light of Easter" were
read by Mrs. Campbell, and
"When Easter comes to Ghana"
by Mrs, Faber. Mrs. Malcolm
Dougall and Mrs. Ed Munn
rendered a piano duet.
The group accepted an in-
vitation to the Easter thank-
affering meeting of St. An-
drew's United Church at Kip-
ipen, Wednesday, April 13, and
an invitation to Caven Pres-
byterian Church, Exeter, April
21. The president closed the
Meeting with prayer.
A brief meeting of the Ladies'
Aid followed, chaired by presi-
ident Mrs. Harvey Hyde, when
iplans were finalized for Hydro
Showtime on Tuesday, April
12, in the Community Arena,

held Wednesday, April 13, at
8:15, in the Legion Hall, when
Mrs. Harry Caldwell will speak
on her trip 'to Australia, New
Zealand, Hong Kong and Japan,
which will be enhanced with
pictures.
The end of the attendance
contest of Kippen East Women's
Institute took the form of a
banquet at the Dominion Hotel,
Zurich, last Tuesday evening,
when their former president,
Mrs. Stirling Graham, of Crom-
arty, spoke and showed pictures
of her trip to Australia, New
Zealand, Hong Kong and Japan.
Mrs. Ross McNichol is a pa-
tient in Scott Memorial Hos-
pital, Seaforth.

Hydro Showtime
Feature Economist
When Hydro Showtime is
presented at the Hensall Arena
auditorium on Tuesday, April
12, -at 8:00 p.m., the presenta-
tion will be sponsored by the
Hensall Public Utilities Com-
mission under the auspices of
Carmel Presbyterian Church
ladies. A highlight of the in-
formative and entertaining pro-
gram will be the interesting
demonstrations by Miss Linda
McMaster, one of Ontario Hy-
dro's home economists,
Miss McMaster will demon-
strate and explain the many
features of a variety of elec-
trical a pp l i a n c es including
washers, dryers, ranges •and re-
frigerators. E 1 e c t ri c home
heating, water heating, and
home lighting will also be fea-
tured on the program.
A complete oven meal will
be cooked and other food items
will be prepared using port-
able appliances similar to those
which may be found in the
average kitchen. There is
something -of interest to men
as well as women and for every
age group. The two-hour pro-
gram is not only entertaining
but will suggest many ideas on
how you too can "Live Better
Electrically".

prepared by the home econo-
mist and a number of beautiful
electrical a p p l i a n c es which
have been donated by local
dealers and the Hensall Public
Utilities Commission.
Miss McMaster is well quali-
fied to give advice on all mat-
ters pertaining to homemaking.
She graduated from the Uni-
versity of British Columbia,
with a Bachelor of Household
Science degree and then in-
terned at St. Michael's Hospital,
Toronto, where she qualified as
a registered professional dieti-
tian. She is a member of the
Canadian and Ontario Dietetic
associations.

Presbyterian Church held a
successful order bake sale Sat-
urday, April, 2 and realized

The Kinette Club of Hensall
paid their annul visit to sick
and shutins in Queensway
nursing home, Scott Memorial
Hospital, Seaforth, South Hur-
on Hospital, Exeter, Victoria
Hoispital, London, Beck San-
atorium, London, and Huron -
view, Clinton, on Sunday, April
3 and presented each one with
lovely Easter plants. This is an
annual project of the club.
Fifty plants were given out.
Mrs. K. Lagerwerf of Oud-
Beyerland, Holland, arrived at
Crumlin Airport Wednesday
evening, April 6 to spend a
two months vacation with her
sister and brother-in-law, Mr.
and Mrs. Sim Roobol of Hensall
and her brother and sister-
in- law, Mr. and Mrs. Tony
Geldertland, RNdghtown, akid
Gelderland, Ridgetown, and
Gelderland, Ridgetown and
other relatives.
Mr. and. Mrs. Laird Mickle
attended the "at home" last
Friday evening at the South
Huron District High School.
Mr. Mickle was a former board
member for many years.

Youth Fellowship
Discusses U F 0
Hi -C Youth Fellowship meet-
ing was held Sunday evening
in the Hensall United Church
with 17 present, with the pro-
gram in charge of Ted Mock
and his committee. Special
feature of the evening were
guest folk singers, "The Wash-
ington Squares", composed of
Alfred Aquilina, Dave Johnson,
and Kathy Meurling, who re-
placed Kathy Pett who was i11.
A discussion on the main
issue of the day "Unidentified
Flying Objects" was led by
Robert McNaughton with many
interesting points brought out
concerning this current topic.
Plans were made for the Easter
sunrise service at the United
Church Sunday, April 10, at 7
a.m., followed by breakfast in
the Fellowship Hall. The de-
votional "The Meaning of East-
er", was in charge of Robert
McNaughton.
