No Words to Waste
People employed on news-
papers or concerned with other
forms of the printed word
should be chastened by the in-
formation from a young woman
that the only time she touches
newspapers is when she picks
them up from the floor after
her husand has put them in
disarray.

Old Established Hardware
One of the oldest established
business Places in the village
of Zurich is the Stade & Weido
hardware. The business was
first formed in 1918 when Earl
Weida and Rudolph Stade went
into partnership as Stade &
Weido Hardware. In 1946 Mr.
Stade sold his interests in the
business to his only son, Har-
old. Mr. Weido still remains
active in the operation of the
store.
An old saying throughout
this area has been, "if you can't
get something at Stade &
Weido, you can't get it any-
where," and this ably describes
the situation. The store has
always been known to carry the
most complete stock in the
area, and quite often articles
that have been off the market
for a number of years can be
found in this place of business.
The firm specializes in plumb-
ing and heating, as well as all

the seed business, and every
year they handle tons of all
types of grass mixtures. They
also have a seed cleaning plant.
