Juveniles Come Up
With Two More
Big Victories
The high -flying Zurich MAA
Juveniles came up with two
more big victories during the
past week, thumping Clinton
10-6 last Wednesday night and
then edging Wingham 5-3 on
Friday night, Both games were
played away from home.
Bob Miller was the big scor-
ing gun for Zurich hi the Clin-
ton victory, pumping in four
goals. Ken Westlake and Bill
Hoffman each scored two, while
Barry Bloch and Bin Schade
each chipped in with one.
Zurich took a big 5-2 lead in
the first period, increased it to
7-4 by the end of the second,
and then scored three more in
the third.
Seven penalties were handed
out in the game, with five going
to the Zurich crew.
Bill Hoffman and Ken West-
lake were the sharpshooters in
the victory over Wingham, as
they both scored twice. Mike
Soldan added the extra counter,
Zurich took a big 4-2 lead by
the end of the first period, and
neither team managed to score
in the second. Both teams
scored once in the third.
A total of 12 penalties were
handed out in the game, with
seven of them going to Wing -
ham.

As Midgets Tie
Searth Squad
The Zurich MAA Midgets,
although out -played by a hust-
ling Seaforth crew last Satur-
day night, managed to come
through with a big 2-2 tie. In
the first period they were out -

scoring a few goals. Ron Cor-
riveau blinked the red light for
Zurich, when he banged in a
neat passing play from his
brother Paul and Doug Stade.
Near the midway mark of the
second period, Corriveau scored
his second goal of the game,
when he slapped in a pass from
E his brother Ron, who was in
behind the net.
Seaforth carne back strong in
the third, and scored two goals
a minute apart to tie the score,
as the Zurich team seemed to
fall apart at the seams. Only
the outstanding work of Jeffrey
in the nets prevented the home-
sters from racking up a winning
score.
Four penalties were handed
out in the game, with two go-
ing to each team.

Bantams Lose 2
Games Last eek
The Zurich MAA Bantams
suffered two defeats during the
past week, one at the hands of
Mitchell and the other from
Seaforth. Mitchel rang up a
convincing 8-3 win over the
local crew, while Seaforth edged
them 5-2,
In the Mitchell game, the
visitors scored three in the first
period and added two more in
the second, and then came up
with three more in the third
session.
John McKinley led the Zur-
ich scoring in the Mitchell
game, with two big goals. Rich-
ard Schilbe banged in the third
counter.
In the Seaforth game, both
McKinley and Richard Schilbe
scored once for Zurich.

A Rest Home to be operated under the non-profit Charitable
Institutions
7 Act, by the Blue Water Rest Home Corporation.
LOCATION:
Highway 84, one-half mile west of Zurich.
ELIGIBILITY:
Priority to South Huron and Blue Water Area
residents.
Department of Welfare maintenance grants avail-
able to indigent residents.
Paying applicants from any area will receive con-
sideration, depending on space available.
TYPES OF CARE:
Normal, for walking residents.
Bed, for the bed -ridden.
Special, for the senile or physically disabled.
The Home is already under construction, with foundations
erected, some floors poured, and walls being built in prepar-
ation for the roof.
Mechanical work is progressing on schedule.
The Fund -Raising campaign is well under wav in some areas,
and is being organized in others. Your contribution will help
to lower the per diem rate.
Sources of capital funds are Central Mortgage and Housing
Corporatioin, Ontario Government grant, and public; subscrip-
tion. Contributions of $100 or more are recorded as life mem-
bers. All contributions are eligible for income tax exeria.btion.

Keep Losing
ore Games
The Zurich Pee Wees have
been running into difficulty
during the past weeks, coming
up with only one victory and
a number of losses. Their only
win to date has been over
Brussels.
Playing back in the northern
town on Friday night, the locals
were again edged out 7-6,
Larry Denomme led the Zurich
scoring attack with three goals,
while Ronnie Rader banged in
two and Barry Thiel added the
extra counter.
The next game for the Pee
Wees will be this Friday night,
when they entertain the Hen-
sall team in the Zurich Arena.

Ian McAllister Re-elected Chairman
Of Hay Township School Area Board
Ian McAllister was re -named
chairman of the Public School
Board of the Township Area of
Hay at last Wednesday's init-
ial 1966 meeting of the board.
Vice-chairman is Garnet Leitch,
Zurich representative.
H.W. Brokenshire, Hay Town-
ship Clerk, administered the
oath of office to all seven mem-
bers of the board and Zurich
clerk Elda Wagner assisted Mr.
Brokenshire in the transfer of
certain deeds.

McAllister and Secretary -Trea-
surer R. F. Westlake, were
authorised to borrow up to
$50,000 from the Bank of Man:
treal on a temporary basis as
needed.

Lawrence Wein, Exeter, has
been hired as music supervisor
in both Hensall and Zurich
schools. His annual salary was
set at $1750.
