External Affairs Minister Speaks
To Liberal Gathering At Goderich
"Canada needs the strongest
kind of government with the
strongest kind of position," the
Hon. Paul Martin, Minister of
External Affairs for Canada,
told over 300 persons at a Lib-

party at Harbourlite Inn in
Goderich last Friday afternoon
"It is important that we have
a government that is endowed
with the authority of discharg-
ing its responsibility in the
most effectivev way," the min-
ister continued. "The essential
thing in this election is to make
sure we have a majority gov-
r
ernment."

plea for a Liberal majority
with a strong argument for the
voters' consideration. He said
the Canadian voter was inclined
to forget that "ours is the Brit-

Mr. Martin told the gather-
