Mrs. Bertie McMurtrie, of Hensall, spent Thanksgiving with Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Bell, Pauline and Ann. Mr. and Mrs. Laird Mickle held their Thanksgiving dinner on Monday and all their family were present: Mr. and Mrs. William Mickle, Pamela, Judith MRS. MAUDE and John; Mr. and Mrs. Ross MacMillan, David and Tommy, Kitchener; Charles Mickle, of Hamilton; Robert Mickle, UWO, London; Ann at home, and sis- ter, Mrs. Florence Joynt, Mrs. Lorne Webster, Mr. and REDDEN, Editor cruise. The trip was sponsored by the coffee club of CKSL, London. Mr, and Mrs. Jack Lewis and Shelley Jean, Sarnia, spent the Thanksgiving week -end with Mr. and Mrs. Spencer and Greg. United Church Notes Laymen's Sunday will be ob- served at the United Church, Sunday, October 17, at 11 a.m. This service will be in complete °barge of the laymen of the congregation. Mr. Murdock Morrison, of the Varna -Goshen charge, will speak. The men's congregational choir will pro- vide. the anthem. At the United Church Sun - Mrs. Robert Watson, Seaforth, visited on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs, Clendon Christie and Cath- arine Anne. Mr. and Mrs. Percy Bartlett, of Thamesford, spent Thanks- giving week -end with Mr. and Mrs. Stewart McQueen. Mrs. Annie Reid returned home from Victoria Hospital, London, where she had under- gone ear surgery. Mrs. J. E. McEwen, Mrs, LewisClark, Mr. and Mrs, Har- old Beaver, Exeter, enjoyed a bus trip to New York City over Thanksgiving week -end, leaving Friday evening, returning home Tuesday morning.
