Rev. Wray Mathers, of Blyth, was the guest minister, In the morning the sermon was on "The Greatness of the Christian Church" and in the evening "Appreciating Our Heritage" The choir, under the direction of Mrs. Robert Stirling, sang both morning and evening, also ,Mrs. W. Hearn, of Clinton, bang two solos in the morning. A quartette, Mrs. Alex Ostrom, Miss Carol Taylor, Frank and Teter Pestill sang in the eve- ning. The Royal Scarlet Chapter of South Huron met in the Orange Hall last Tuesday evening with a good attendance from the various lodges in the district. Rev. and Mrs. Graham Tipple, of Sault Ste. Marie, were re- cent visitors at the home of Rev. and Mrs. Murdock Morri- son. Rev. G. Tipple is presi- dent of London Conference of the United Church, and he ad- dressed the members of Huron Presbytery when they met in Brussels on Wednesday 'of last week. The United Church Women are holding a smorgasbord sup- per on Wednesday, October 6. Deer Season Open In Huron County For Few Days GODERICH — Huron County will have an open season on deer for three days, November 8, 9, 10. council agreed after hearing E. K. E.
