Although it has beer impossible to watch everything, our nomination for the worst program this fall is "My Mother, the Car". This NBC color presentation is about a woman who has been dead for 18 years and returns as an automobile. Only her son can have conversation with her. Only her son should see the show. It's really sick. 'Both CBC and CTV failed to pick up this program. Very wise indeed. We took a fast trip to Mont- real last Friday for the taping session of the Musical Show- case. This is Canadian TV's larg- est jackpot show -more than $100,000 in prizes, including $50,000 in gold bullion. It took nearly four hours to tape this 30 -minute program. It was ex- hausting for the crew, the con- testants, the orchestra, and for the TV and newspaper people who sat through it. * r * After a hectic schedule of summer activity, Johnny Wayne. and Frank Shuster return to CBC this autumn with the first of four Wayne and Shuster Hours. The comics want to Britain in July to do two BBC shows; flew to Charlottetown for their stage production there, and then took the show on tour across Canada.
