Biggar Reunion
Held At Pinery

of ;he Cochrane clan met at
Cia:. Gregor Square, Bayfield,
for :heir annual reunion. Fol-
lowing a picnic supper, a short
business meeting was held,
with the president, William
Enke:, in charge. Plans were
mace. to (hold the 1966 reunion
at Eayfield the second Sunday
in Jury.

Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Petzke
have taken up residence in the
Fink apartment on King Street,
P. T. Smale, of Wainwright,
Alta., and grand -daughter Lynn
Ott, have returned after visit-
ing relatives in Hensall, Staffa
and Simcoe.
Farewell Party
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Little, who
left Friday of this week for
Este v,a n, Sask., with their
daughters, Marcia and Cheryl,
were pleasantly surprised on
Thursday evening at a cottage
occupied by Mr. and Mrs. John
Heal, north of St. Joseph, when
nine couples from Hensall met
to present them with a farewell
panty prior to their leaving.
They were presented with an
electricc tea kettle and other
personal gifts, Jim Taylor mak-
ing the presentation.
Miss Linda Mock has re-
turned home from Toronto Gen-
eral Hospital, where she was a
patient.
Mrs. E. Fletcher, of Moore-
field, visited •over the week -end
with her husband, who is a pa-
tient at Queensway nursing
home, and with members of
her family.
Mr. and Mrs, Leroy Peters
and family, of Stratford, visited
over the week -end with Mr.
and Mrs. Fred Peters and
Bonnie.
Flowers in the sanctuary of
Carmel Presbyterian Church
Sunday morning were in loving
memory of 1VIr. and Mrs. Basil
Edwards, placed there by their,
niece, Mrs. Violet Johnson, of
St. Catharines. Baskets of

late Frank Wright, placed by

Obituary
Brian Armstrong
Public funeral service was
held Sunday from Bonthron
funeral home, Hensall, for Brian
Leslie Armstrong, 2, son of 1VIr,
and Mrs. Leslie Armstrong, RR
3, Bayfield. Rev. Murdock Mor-
rison officiated for the service,
and burial was in Bayfield
cemetery.
Brian passed away at his
home Thursday evening, and is
survived by his parents, two
sisters, Linda and Bonnie, and
one brother, Bradley, all at
home.

Frank Wright
Funeral service for the late
Frank Wright, aged 52, of Kip -
pen, who died Sunday, July 18,
in Western Hospital, Toronto,
was held from the Bonthron
f u n e r a 1 home, Hensall, on
Wednesday at 2 p.m.
Mr. Wright was a past dis-
trict deputy grand master of
South Huron Masonic district,
He was married to the former
Esther Mcllwain, who survives,
along with two daughter s,
Eleanor and Lois, and two sons,
James and Gordon, all at home.
A brother, Gordon, of Alliston,
and a sister, Mrs. Orland (Laura
Belle) Reichert, RR 2, Hensall,
also survive.
Pallbearers were Orville
Workman, Clarence Brenner,
Gerald Moffatt, Dave Triebner,
Cliff Henderson and George
Clifton. Flower bearers were
Alvin Thompson, ,Tack Deitz,
and Emerson Kyle. Rev. J. C.
Boyne officiated, and interment
was in Hensall cemetery.
Sunday, August 1, when the
congregation of Carmel Presby-
terian Church will worship with
them. Rev. H. F. Currie will
•occupy his own pulpit. Union
services to continue through

Before Marriage
Mrs. Nelson Hood entertain-
ed at a trousseau tea in honour
of her daughter, Joyce Mae,
whose marriage to Ronald Ross
Carter will take place Satur-
day, July 31,
Guests were received by Mrs.
Hood, the bride and Mrs. Ron-
ald J. Carter, mother of t h e
groom.

with an embroidered linen
,cloth. Pink and cream roses
and baby's breath flanked with
pink tapers formed an attract-
ivve table centre.

Mrs. W. Reitz
Mrs, William Deitz, of Kip -
pen, passed away at Huronview,
Clinton, on Saturday, July 24,
in her 80th year, she was the
former Mary Elizabeth McGreg-
or. Her husband predeceased
her in July, 1948.
Surviving are one son, John,
two daughters, Mrs. T h om a s
(Dorothy) Munroe, and Mrs.
William (Norma) Coleman, all
of Kippen; one brother, Frank,
of Clinton; t w o sisters, Mrs.
John lVEeCowan, Clinton, Mrs.
George Baird, Brucefield, and
six grandchildren.
Public funeral service was
held from Bonthron funeral
chapel, Hensall on Monday,
conducted by Rev. E. Roulston,
of Exeter. Burial was in Bairds
cemetery .

Held Recently

The McArthur reunion was
held at Riverview Park, Exeter,
on Sunday, with some 50 mem-
bers of the clan attending from
Niagara Falls, Toronto, London,
