George Coyne in St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, London. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and lVfrs. Reginald Betteridge. Lon- don. and the groom is the son of Mr, and Mrs. Lloyd Noakes, London. The bride chose a floor -length gown of white nylon with lily - point sleeves. The scoop neck- line was edged with seed pearls and the skirt extended to a chapel train. A crown of pearls held her two-tiered illusion veil and she carried a cascade of white carnations and red roses. Mrs. N. A. Betteridge was matron of honor, and brides- maids were Miss Lorene Pickles and Mrs. Raymond Noakes. All wore sheaths of turquoise or- ganza over taffeta. Flower girl Jane Seamon was dressed in leme i shade. Ray Noakes a t to n d e d his brother as groomsman and Gary Ronald Noakes ushered guests. For a wedding trip to the united States the bride chose a truquoise sheath with matching Boat, white accessories and yel- low roses. The couple will live an London. Your Red Cross reminds you to be water wise Obituary 74,e oweadu mew" Sol Kipfer Mrs. Thomas Kyle, Sr., Hen- sall, received word of the pass- ing of her brother, Sol Kipfer, of Madison, Minn., U.S.A„ who died Thursday evening, June 3, following a stroke. He was born in Hay Township and went to Madison some 40 years ago, where he farmed ex- tensively. Surviving are his wife, three brothers, Ezra Kipfer, Hensall; Sam Kipfer, Minn.; Dave, Iowa; two sisters, Mrs, L. Desjardine, Exeter, and Mrs. Kyle, Hensall. Legion Auxiliary The monthly meting of the Hensall Legion Auxiliary was held Tuesday evening, with president Mrs. Roy Smale in charge. Plans for the annual picnic to be held at Riverview Park, Exeter_ on Sunday July 4, were made with supper to be served at 5 p.m. It was announced that the an- nual Penny Sale was a great sueess, with $120, taken in. Mrs. Harold Campbell won the attendance prize of $5. and also won the guessing prize. Past N. Grands Entertain Meeting Past Noble Grands' night was observed at Amber Re- bekah Lodge Wednesday eve- ning, June 2. Entertainment for the eve- ning was provided by the Past Noble Grands who for their se- lection sang, "How Great Thou Art" and did square dance numbers to recorded music. Members of the square dance sets were Mrs. Ross Richardson, Mrs. Alex MacBeath, Mrs. Archie MacGregor, Mrs. How- ard Lemmon, Mrs. Ernie Chip - chase, Mrs. Beverly Beaton, Mrs. R. A. Orr, Mrs. Edna Caldwell. A humorous reading, "Bessie's Doll", was given by Mrs. Alex MacBeath. Mrs, Edna Caldwell will at- tend Grand Lodge Assembly at the Royal York, Toronto, June 14 to 16, and will be installed as district deputy president of Huron district, Mrs. Clarence V o l l a n d will attend as a scholar. A country store, in charge of Mrs. Beaton realized a nice sum of money, and a delicious lunch was served by Mrs. Earl Campbell and Mrs. Inez Mc- Ewen. Noble Grand Mrs. J. F. In- gram presided for the business and members of Monkton Lodge were special guests.
