Mr. and Mrs. Walter Spencer

The Hensall- Chiselhurst
Young People met together at
the Hensall United Church at
8 p.m. A total of 25 were pres-
ent.
The meeting was in charge
of Bob Forrest and his group.
Eric Ross, Ted Mock, Bob For-
rest and Dave Pyette took part
in the devotional. A film call-
ed "Rahanni", meaning head-
less valley, was shown. It de-
picted the great struggle there
is to find gold in the. Yukon.
Bob Forrest, Wayne Payne
and Lois Simmons directed
three games. Lunch was served
and Rev. Currie closed the
meeting with the benediction.

The Hensall-Chiselhurst Youth
Fellowship held an Easter Sun-
rise Service in the United
Church Sunday at 6 a.m. This
was followed by •breakfast for
the entire congregation in Fel-
lowship Hall.
Miss Amy Lammie is visiting
New Chairman
For Association
Owing to extra work in con-
nection with Guide movement
in Huron, Mrs. Thomas Laven-
der, of Hensall, District Comm-
issioner and Camp Advisor,
has delegated the duties of
Chairman of the Local Assoc-
iation to Mrs. Earle Rowe, of
Hensall.
The role of the Local Assoc-
iation is an important one.
Guiding is for girls, but the suc-
cess of the program depends on
the adults who give their time
and energy to support Guiding
in the community. Members of
the local association are parents
of Brownies and Guides or any
person in sympathy with the
movement.
It is the duty of the Local
Association to raise the neces-
sary finances to provide the
Brownies and Guides with good
leadership, a regular meeting
place, equipment, transport-
ation when necessary, and to
encourage camping.

Charles Mickle, Hamilton, left
last Thursday evening for New
York where he will spend a
week as guest of Ian Mundell,
a former resident of Medway
Hall, and a graduate of UWO.
Miss Greta Laramie is attend-
ing a national conference of
musicians and piano technicians
at the CNIB in Toronto; Tues-
day to Friday of this week.
Mr. and Mrs. James Bozzato,
of Moisie, Quebec, are spending
Easter week with the latter's
parents, Mr. and Mrs. William
T. Kyle, and family.
Seventeen dollars was collect-
ed from the customers at the
Regal Grill, Hensall, and pre-
sented to John Dickens for
Bunny Bundle, CFPL, London.
The presentation was made by
Kay and Michael Davis to Mr.
Dickens on Monday morning.
Harold Bonthron is a patient
at St. Joseph's Hospital, Lon-
don.
Mrs. Carl Payne has resignsd
from the staff of Scott Memor-
ial Hospital, Seaforth.

Heid For Bride
Before Marriage
Mrs. James Sangster enter-
tained at a trousseau tea at her
home in honor of her daughter
Patricia Marilyn Jones, prior to
her marriage to Ralph Norman
Holland. Guests were received
by the bride -elect, Mrs. Sang-
ster and Mrs. Norman Holland,
mother of the groom -elect. The
tea table was covered with a
damask cloth and centred with
white mums and pink sweetpeas
in a cut glass howl flanked by
pink tapers.
Presiding at the tea table
were Mrs. Edna Corbett, grand-
mother of the bride, and Mrs.
Archie, MacGregor, aunt of the
bride. Serving in the tea room
were Mrs. Ken Parker, Miss
Monica Peebles, Mrs. George
Parker and Mrs. Ronald Schroe-
der, assisted by Mrs. Jack Cor-
bett, Mrs. Ed Corbett, Mrs. Har-
old Parker and Mrs. Ed Schroe-
der.

gave a humorous reading. Mrs
Eric Mansfield read the address
which was prepared by Mrs.
Robert Simpson.
Misses Kim Corbett and Cathy
Parker presented many lovely
gifts to the bride.
