FRENCH FOR LOVE—Pretty Felixe Fitzgerald, one
of CBC French network television's top actresses, is the new
co -host of the conversational French For Love series, seen
Sundays on the CBC -TV network. Felixe, who has worked
with such stars as Sir Alec Guiness and James Mason, came
to Montreal from Toronto six years ago and modelled and
did sales work to pay her tuition fees for French study at
the University of Montreal.

Flu Bug Hits
We are glad to report that
already quite a few people were
dawn with the flu and are now
able to be around. For some
reason or other the flu is al-
ways a draggy malady, which
keeps one weak for some time.
With the present month of
April it is hoped that things
will again be back to normal.
Late Seeding
April is the month to make
plans for planting for those on
the farm. April may be dis-
agreeable, it has been before
and not too much farm work

Mrs. Adeline Denomme and
Mrs. Florence Denomme mo-
tored to London on Monday
last to visit with relatives.
Mr. and Mrs. Napoleon Can -
tin, Jr., of Detroit, spent the
week -end in St. Joseph with
Mrs. Valerie Cantin, who ac-
companied them to Detroit.
Late Denise Laporte
Several members of the late
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Laporte
family motored to Detroit on
Sunday last to attend the fu-
neral of their brother, Denise,
who passed away in that city
the past week -end. The funeral
being held on Monday last in
Detroit, where he had lived for
many years. Our deepest sym-
pathy to his bereaved wife and
family.
The forty -hour devotion
which was held in St. Joseph
parish was largely attended at
all services. Terminating on
Tuesday evening last, it was
conducted by Monsignor Bour-
deau, the parish priest.

Junior Farmers
Will Sell Signs
Huron County Junior Farm-
ers met in Clinton on March 31,
at 8:30, with :the president, Tom
Cunningham, in the chair and
26 members answered the roll
call.
Huron -Perth field days was

to meet with Perth on April 28
to discuss the event.

agreed to sell "Slow Moving
Vehicle" signs for the Farm
Safety Council. This sign (an
inverted yield sign) has been
nationally adopted and it is
hoped that in the future will
become a symbol or warning
that there is a slow moving ve-
hicle ahead as soon as the sign
is seen. The signs will be sold
by local club members and will
cost $2.50 each.
Next meeting will be held on
May 26.

Joint Meeting of
Y uth Groups
The Hensall-Chiselhurst Young
People's meeting at the Hen-
sall United Church Sunday eve-
ning was under the direction
of Dave Brock and his Fellow-
ship group: Eric Ross, Nancy
Kyle, Pat Harris and Dave Py-
ette, took part in the devo-
tional.
A film called "Community
Responsibilities" was shown.
Eric Ross and Dave Brock di-
rected two games. Lunch was
served and Rev. Currie Closed
with the benediction.
The Young People of Hensall
and Chiselhurst United church-
es are going to have a Sunrise
Service April 18, Easter Sunday
morning at 7:00 a.m. Breakfast
will follow. Everyone is wel-
come. The service will be held
at the Hensall United Church.

pencils and brushes who create
them.
