Hensall Operator
Honored by Bell
Friday the 13th is not always
unlucky,
At least Mrs. Pearl Shaddick,
Hensall, who has been a night
operator with Bell Telephone
Company for 29 years doesn't
think so. She was honored on
that date at a cut -over party
held in Seaforth.
Mrs. Shaddick was presented
with an inscribed plaque and a
wallet -from the Bell Telephone
officials. The expression of
the company's appreciation was
followed by the presentation of
a sterling silver broach and ear-
ring set, a gift to Mrs. Shaddick
from the staff at the former
Hensall telephone office.

Puss in Boots
Persian pussies possessing
prowling paws provide perplex-
ing problems.
At least that's what Linda
Keys thought when she learned
that her pet kitten, Fluffy, was
missing. And that's what Ross
Corbett thought when he found
the kitten under the tarpaulin
on his trailer,
But Fluffy wasn't at all per-
turbed. He had enjoyed a trip
to Chatham aboard a truck
owned by Linda's father, Har-
vey Keys, after the cat had ap-
parently stowed away late last
Monday.
The travelling feline was re-
turned to his anxious owner
last Tuesday night.
