It is some 50 years since the cousins last met. Mrs, Flaiz was born on the sec-ond concession of Hay, and is a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs, John Reith. Mrs. Bert Riley underwent surgery in Victoria Hospital, London, on Wednesday, Octo- ber 28. ' The Hensall Kinettes cele- brated their ninth anniversary with a theatre party in London on Wednesday, October 28. Mrs. Annie Reid spent last week -end in Shakespeare with Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Peters and family, Unit 4 UCW meet this Thurs- day, November 5, at 2 p.m. 'Program arranged by Mrs. E. 'Rowe and 'Mrs. W. Dilling. The fall bale sponsored by the United Church Women is to be packed Thursday, Novem- ber 17. All contributions of good, clean used clothing are urged to be in by this date, Let your response be generous as the need is great. (No hats or shoes, please,) Messrs, Stan Tudor and Tom Lavender left last Friday for a hunting trip north of Toronto. They were accompanied by hunters from Hamilton, Dun- das, Stoney Creek and Grimsby. They expect to be away 10 days. The children were treated to films and treats. 0 Young People At Joint Meeting Hensall-Chiselhurst Young People met at Hensall United Church November 1, for their first meeting under the new ex- ecutive. Call to worship was presented by the president, Eric Aoss. Eric also led in the Scripture, which was taken from Romans 12: 14-21, and followed with a prayer. Lois Simmons and Dave Py- ette were in charge of some very exciting games. Special guests for the evening were Mr. Ron Mock, Mr. Dave Kyle and Mr. Victor Pyette. EARL CAMPBELL, Clerk, CGIT Celebrate Early Hallowe'en Hallowe'en came a few days early this year for the members of the Hensall GCIT, but it put the girls in the right mood for the week -end when spooks and goblins were the order of the day. Last Wednesday evening, the Sunday School rooms of Carmel Presbyterian Church came alive when the club members con- verged under a bevy of orange and black decorations. Appro- priate games and contests were enjoyed. The highlight of the evening was the announcement of the winning costume worn by Miss Margie Allan. Decorations were arranged by the capable hands of Marjorie Schwalm, Janice Armstrong and Margie Allan. Miss Leila Mc - Falls is the leader of the group. 0 Carmel Church Honors Organists The congregation at Carmel Presbyterian Church, Hensall, honored two women who had formerly seved that parish as organists and choir leaders. Mrs. Malcolm Dougall, who resigned last month after seven years at the church console and former organist Mrs. Harold Bell were each presented with an electric clock.
