double knit aqua marine en-
semble worn with white acces-
sories and pink carnation cor-
sage was the choice of the
mother of the groom,
For a wedding trip to North-
ern Ontario, the bride changed
to a black and teal walking suit
with black ,accessories, A pink
carnation corsage completed
the outfit. On their return, the
young couple will reside in Sea -
forth.
Out-of-town guests were pres-
ent from London, Stratford and
Seaforth.

Curator Workshop
The Curator Work Shop was
held at Hensall on Monday,
October 19, with all branches
of South Huron Women's Insti-
tutes represented.' Seven cur-
ators were present.
Mrs. W. D. Mack, of Crediton,
gave a report of the work shop
held at St. Thomas.

were shared during the discus-

Kinettes Plan
Christmas Draw
Mrs. Bob Caldwell won the
raffle at the regular meeting of
the Hensall Kinettes at the
h
ome of Mrs. William Fuss on
Wednesday, October 14. FinalsJ SAT
their annual fall rummage sale. j
Plans were made for the an-
nual Christmas cake draw, with
the canvass to take place Wed-
nesday evening, November 4.
Each Kinette will bring a
Christmas gift for their adopted
Italian child at the first meet-
ing in November.
Shut-in visits will be made
Sunday, November 29.
The general chairman of the
March of Dimes committee is
Mrs. Robert Baker, Jr.
Kinettes, with the Kinsmen,
will place a wreath at the ceno-
taph o11 Remembrance Day, No-
vember 11.
Next meeting, October 28,
will be the Kinette annual birth-
day part.
80th Birthday k
Marked by Dinner
Mrs. Sarah Gingerich, Zurich,
was able to enjoy celebrations
on her 80th dirthday which was
last Saturday, October 17.
A family dinner in her honor
was held last Friday evening at
the Hensall Legion Hall. Pres-
ent for the occasion were her
seven children, Roy, Amos, Wal-
lace, Curtis and Irvin, all of
Zurich; Reuben and Verna (Mrs.
Alfred Ropp), both of Ailsa
Craig; 26 grandchildren and
seven great-grandchildren.

Regular Meeting
Of Goshen UCW
The October meeting of the
Goshen United Church Women
was held at the home of Mrs.
Ken Parke on Thursday night,
October 15. Mrs. Ken Parke
opened the meeting and prayer
was offered by Mrs. Elgin Mc-
Kinley. Scripture and comments
were given by Mrs. Elgin Mc-
Kinley.
Mrs. Ken Parke had charge
of the study book, "God Speaks
for Himself", assisted by Mrs.
Elmer Hayter and Mrs. Allen
Armstrong. A short discussion
ensued.
Mrs. Mel Elliot conducted the
business. Plans were made for
the annual fowl supper to be
held October 28. The meeting
closed with the Lord's Prayer.

yellow and mauve mums, Karen
Marie Talbot, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Ernest Talbot, Kippen,
became the bride of Gary Alex-
ander, son of Mr. and Mrs. Art
Alexander, Walton. Rev. How-
ard Plant officiated at the cere-
mony which took place in
Brucefield United Church, Oc-
tober 17, 1964, at 2 p.m.
Mrs. Janet Murdock presided
at the organ. Soloist Mrs. Fred
McGregor sang '0 Perfect Love'
and 'The Wedding Prayer'.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride chose a floor
length gown of peau de sole,
The bodice featured a scooped
neckline of clipped rosettes
fashioned with lily -point sleeves.
A bustle accented the bouffant
skirt which extended to a slight
chapel train. A floral crown
held in place a flowing nylon
net veil and she carried a cas-
cade •of red roses.
Bridal attendants, Miss Mar-
jorie Hyde, Kippen, maid of
honor; Lorraine Talbot, Kippen,
sister of the bride, and Mar-
garet Alexander, Hensall,
bridesmaids, and flower girl,
Debbie Alexander, were gowned
alike. They wore aqua peau de
soie dresses and matching pill -

Meeting Held
The fall thank -offering meet-
ing of Unit 1, UCW, was held
Monday evening with Mrs. Rob-
ert Reaburn presiding. Some
"Thanksgiving Thoughts" were
expressed by the president and
Mrs, Ross Forrest conducted the
devotional period using the
theme "Thanksgiving". Mrs.
Don Joynt gave the Bible study
from Numbers, Deuteronomy
and Joshua,
Business centred around plans
for the bazaar, the Unit's
charge of the knitting and
Christmas novelty booth. Plans
to attend the regional meeting
at Centralia this Friday were
discussed.
