draw up the necessary agree-
ment with their solicitor, Elmer
Bell. Exeter. It was suggested
that the lease call for a renewal
until 1970 with an option to re-
new again until 1975.
The club then asked council
to express an opinion of their
proposed scheme so that club
members would know the feel -
Ing of village authority. Unani-
mous approval was given by
council for the project in prin-
ciple but council cautioned that
it could not sanction the con-
struction until details were in
order.
It was decided that the Yacht
Club and the Grand Bend Coun-
cil would host a meeting of the
interested bodies so that more-
data
oredata could be accumulated on
feasibility of the proposed
basin.
;'For Grand Bend to grow as

To Hear Sister
From Chatham
A deanery meeting held in
Brodhagen was the main topic
of discussion at the Zurich Ca-
tholic Women's League gather-
ing for October.
Mrs. Lerina Rose and Mrs.
Mozart Gelinas listed some
points stressed by Father Hen-
nessey, diocesan director, and
the other diocesan convenors.
Recommendations were made
that more members should at-
tend retreats and days of recol-
lection and that they should be-
come more interested in per-
sonal acts of charity and more
involved in an increased num-
ber of community projects.
Special mention was given to
the Girl Guide and Brownie
movements. It was also sug-
gested that all should subscribe
to and read the League maga-
zine.
Members were urged to bring
a friend to the November meet-
ing when a visiting Sister from
Chatham will be the guest
speaker. A subject of interest
to every woman is promised.
During the social time after
the meeting, bingo was played,
prizes won and a tasty lunch
served.

Zurich, decorated with baskets

1964, for the wedding of Dianne
Elizabeth Thiel and Donald
Beattie, both of London. Rev.
A. Blackwell officiated at the
3 p.m. double -ring ceremony-.
Organist Ronald Klapp, Zur
ich, and soloist, T. Harry Hoff-
man, Dashwood, provided tra-
ditional wedding music.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride was radiant in
a formal floor -length gown of
champagne French peau de soir.
The bodice was highlighted by
a slightly cut Sabrina neckline
with elbow length sleeves. The
gentle sheath skirt fell from a
narrow band of champagne
Chantilly lace that molded into
a high empire waistline. The
fashion feature of the gown was
the full -flowing chapel train,
cascading from the waist line
and caught high in the back
with a flat French bow. A
matching bow in the hair held a
flowing bubble veil of cham-
pagne French illusion veiling.
She carried an arm sheaf of
natural barley with long strands
of trailing smilex with a cluster
of phalaenopsis orchids,

Topic of CWL
Monsignor Bourdcau gave the
members of the St.. 'Peter's Ca-
tholic Women's League a chance
to ask questions concerning li-
tui'gieai changes within the Ca-
tholic Church.
The ladies were told that
many changes have been veri-
fied by the Holy Father but
many are still under study and
will be forthcoming. Not until
all new laws have been formu-
lated by the Holy Father and
the bishops of the church, will
any action be taken within the
congregations.
It is expected that the changes
in the liturgy will allow more
participation of the Catholic
layman as well as a better un-
derstanding of his religion.
During the business segment,
a letter was read from Mother
Mary Mathew (Ducharme) now
in Peru. In it she conveyed her
thanks to the group for the gift
of money she had received from
ashes of roses French crepe fea-
turning a Chantilly lace bodice,
Her matching hat was an im-
ported feather pillbox and she
wore a corsage of cymbidum
orchids. The groom's mother
wore a street -length gown of
powder blue peau de soir styled
with a sheath skirt and match-
ing overskirt edged with Chan
tilly lace. Her hat was a high,
pale blue net turban and her
corsrage was a spray of mauve
and pink -toned orchids.
The bride travelled in a two-
piece suit of black imported
double knit in a carved cord
pattern fashioned with a chel-
sea neckline, and featuring a
tucked -in dickie of cardovan
tan. Her hat was a custom-
made black beaver beret and
her accessories were of taupe
patent. A corsage of orange
toned fall flowers complimented
the ensemble.
The young couple will make
their home in London.
the group before leaving Can-
ada last month.

Guild in London issued a re-
quest asking the ladies of St.
Peter's to sell tickets. Proceeds
