The site was chosen be- cause •of its central accessability to the plants in Dashwood and Mount Brydges. The new plant will be the assembly shed fed by the wood components produced at Dash- wood and the insulating glass, storm panels and screens and louvres made in Mount Brydges. About 20 employees are ex- pected to be needed when the new plant goes into operation at first of the year. 4® — Among those who displayed their handiwork were Mrs. Norma Siebert, Zurich. Her displays of some 25 driftwood articles, several bedecked with her own dried flowers, attract- ed a great deal of interest. • Mrs. Siebert says she was quizzed by many persons who had collected the raw materials necessary but didn't know the techniques of the fascinating hobby. . "Very little is written about driftwood art," remarked Mrs. Siebert. "You just have to work out your own ideas." Driftwood found at the beach is not the only material used as the foundations for her centre- pieces. Deadwood, such as branches, twigs and roots in particular, are all possible bases. During a holiday trip to the Gold Lake district, Mrs. Siebert found several pieces of wood ideally suited to her purposes. "I always keep one eye open wherever I go," she added. Hours of work is required be- fore any one piece is completed. The wood must be carefully sanded and then rubbed with a Miracle Foot Aid Support Services AT W. A. Mrs. Siebert prefers to use neutral shoe pol- ish for this process. She also has a special trick whereby she can reclaim deadwood. The ad- dition of the flowers and orna- ments is the easy part. One large piece in her col- lection took two full days of hard work to produce. 0 Mrs. L. Albrecht Mrs. John Albrecht passed away Saturday, September 26, 1964, at her Zurich residence.
