The children are Kathleen Brennan, 9; Michael Brennan, 11; Patrick Brennan, 12, and Deidre Brennan, 7. The four children will be attending St. Boniface School and will be living with Mrs. Hartman. Besides her own 10 children, Mrs. Hartman has also had a part in raising 38 grandchildren, all ranging in age from three months to 16 years. Club Leaders Will Attend School For Homemaking Girls During the next month the Huron County 4-H Homemaking Club leaders will begin their fall work as they attend the training schools for the project, "The Club Girl Stands on Guard". These schools, spon- sored by the Home Economies Service of the Ontario Depart- ment of Agriculture, will be conducted by Miss Patricia Da- mude, the home economist for Huron County. It is expected that nearly 90 leaders and assistants will at- tend the three schools being held in the board room of the Ontario Department of Agricul- ture, Clinton, on September 17 and 18; in the Hensall Legion Hall on October 1 and 2, and in the Mingham Town Hall on Oc- tober 8 and 9. Through lectures and demon- strations the leaders will obtain information on first aid, health services and safety. The im- portance to teenagers of cul- tural activities, such as music, art and hobbies, will also be discussed. This material is presented in such a form that it may be taught directly to the club of 12 to 26 year-old in the local community. Church held their monthly meeting last Thursday evening. Miss Olive O'Brien and Mrs. G. Koehler led the devotional period, proving the Bible has the answers to all business and labour problems. Miss Pearl Wurtz gave a reading on Stew- ardship. Mrs. Ross Johnston read a poem, "The Day's Needs". Miss Elizabeth Johnston and Mrs. Beatrice Hess rendered very fine solos. The speaker for the evening, Mrs. M. Shatto, gave an inform- ative talk and showed pictures of Texas. Mrs, Andrew Dixon, who has charge of the class, reports that all of last year's students have been successfuly placed in jobs. Each of the ten girls received an offer from the London Life Company as a result of inter- views at the high school in March. Pouring tea were Mrs. Ellen Thiel, grandmother of the bride, and Mrs. Lilie, grandmother of the groom. In the evening pouring tea were Mrs, Karl Ra- berer and Mrs. August Lille, aunts of the bride and groom. The tea room assistants were girl friends of the bride.
