STARTS OVER AGAIN — After raising
10 children of her own, Mrs. Theresa Hart-
man has decided she would like to help raise
four more, so she has temporarily adopted
this group shown with her. The children
are Kathleen Brennan, 9; Michael Brennan,
11; Patrick Brennan, 12, and Deidre Brennan,
7. The four children will be attending St.
Boniface School and will be living with Mrs.
Hartman. Besides her own 10 children, Mrs.
Hartman has also had a part in raising 38
grandchildren, all ranging in age from three
months to 16 years.
Club Leaders Will
Attend School For
Homemaking Girls
During the next month the
Huron County 4-H Homemaking
Club leaders will begin their
fall work as they attend the
training schools for the project,
"The Club Girl Stands on
Guard". These schools, spon-
sored by the Home Economies
Service of the Ontario Depart-
ment of Agriculture, will be
conducted by Miss Patricia Da-
mude, the home economist for
Huron County.
It is expected that nearly 90
leaders and assistants will at-
tend the three schools being
held in the board room of the
Ontario Department of Agricul-
ture, Clinton, on September 17
and 18; in the Hensall Legion
Hall on October 1 and 2, and in
the Mingham Town Hall on Oc-
tober 8 and 9.
Through lectures and demon-
strations the leaders will obtain
information on first aid, health
services and safety. The im-
portance to teenagers of cul-
tural activities, such as music,
art and hobbies, will also be
discussed.
This material is presented in
such a form that it may be
taught directly to the club of
12 to 26 year-old in the local
community.
