Loss was estimated by Mr. Ham- ilton at over $1,000. Ile was driving a truck draw- ing the boat on a trailer to the :tome of his father, Gordon Hamilton. RR 1. Hay Council Buys Road Grader From Goderich Firm At a special meeting of the Ilay To w n s 11 i p council last Thursday night, the tender of Dominion Road Machinery, Goderich, fora new grader, was accepted. The price of the new machine is $20,377.52. The new grader will serve a dual purpose as a road grader and snow plow. The old unit I is practically worn out, and will Abe turned in as a trade. In other business at the spe- cial meeting, council agreed to call tenders for the reconstruc- tion of one and a quarter miles of they 14th concession, north. A request from Jacob Hovius for a repair of a portion of the Koehler Municipal Drain was received by council, who in turn have instructed their en- gineer, C. P. James Edward Desjardine Four -months -old James Ed- ward Desjardine, son of Mr. and Mrs. Willis Desjardine, of Kirk - ton, was found dead in his bed Friday morning by his mother. The body was taken to Strat- Zurich Kings Lose Third Straight To Walkerton The Zurich Lumberkings suf- fered their worst defeat of the playoff series with Walkerton last Sunday afternoon when they cane home with a 13-5 trimming. With their backs to the wall, down three games to none, the Kings will play host to the Walkerton crew this Fri- day night. ' If a fifth game is necessary it will be played back in Walkerton on Sunday after- noon. Walkerton came up with all their runs in three innings, scoring four in the third, three in the fourth, and six in the fifth. Zurich scored once in the fourth and four times in the seventh. Bill Schade was the big gun for the Kings, banging out three hits in four times at bat, all singles, Bob Hoffman, Dick Bedard, Phil Overholt and Rick Stade each hit safely once. Eugene Guenther started on the mound for Zurich, and gave way to Dick Bedard in the fourth inning.
