a suburb of Detroit; Mr. and
Mrs. Wallace Ross, of Seaforth;

Dr. and Mrs. C. J. Wallace
and family have returned home
to Zurich after spending a
month's vacation in England,
Scot 1 a n d, Switzerland, and
other European countries.
Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Regier,
of Detroit, are visiting this week
with relatives throughout this
area.
Mrs. Ross MeNab, of Halifax,
Nova Scotia, arrived at the
home of her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Norman Gaschio, last week
to spend some holidays. Her
husband and sons joined her
later in the week.
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Hogan and
family, of Merlin, are vacation-
ing at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Earl Weide.
Miss Ruth Ann Flaxbard spent
the week -end in Stratford visit-
ing with Mr. and Mrs. Bob
Crummer, while her sister, Shir-
ley, visited in Listowel with her
aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs,
William Flaxbard.
Donna and Susan Manson, of
Toronto are visiting Mr. and
Mrs. Newell Geiger and Mrs.
Mary Manson this week.
Mr. and Mrs. Grant Case and
family, of Barrie, spent the
week -end with members of their

THURSDAY, JULY 16, 1964
MR. AND MRS. ISIDORE LOUIS LAPORTE were married
Saturday in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Grand Bend,
by Father B. Coughlin. The bride is Mary Madeline, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. James H. Dalton, Grand Bend, and the
groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Noel Laporte, RR 2, Zurich.
The young couple will live in Zurich.

Mary Madeline Dalton, daugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs. James Dal-
ton, Grand Bend, and Isidore
Louis Laporte, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Noel Laporte, Zurich, were
united in marriage at Immacu-
late Heart of' Mary Church,
Grand Bend, on July 11, 1964,
at 11 a.m. Rev. Father Bill
Coughlin officiated at the cere-
mony.
The bride, given in marriage
by her father, chose a tradition-
ally fashioned floor -length gown
of organza over taffeta with lily -
point sleeves, high scooped
neckline, and a controlled skirt
with detachable train. Guipure
Mr. and Mrs. Newell Geiger
attended the funeral of Mrs. S.
R. Knechtel, of Kitchener, on
Tuesday and also visited Miss
Elizabeth Rennie, sister of the
deceased, at the K -W Hospital.

B-ridesmaids, Mrs. Lilian La-
porte, Miss Sandra Walters, and
junior bridesmaid, Miss Jo -Anne
Dalton, were gowned identical-
ly in carnation pink organza
street -length dresses with cap
sleeves and rosette and leaf
vine trimming on the front of
their skirts. The bridesmaids
wore matching pillbox head-
pieces with rosette trim.

Lutheran Women
Hear Reports
Lutheran Church Women held
their meeting Tuesday evening
with an attendance of 29. Mrs.
Brokenshire led in devotions.
II. W. Brokenshire showed
educational films, "Life in the
Sahara Desert", stressing the
source of water and its impor-
tance as being life to people
and animals in the desert. The
second film, from Banff Na -
John Morris Laporte was
groomsman, and James Dalton,
Jr., and Tony Laporte ushered
guests.
A dinner for the immediate
family was held at the Imperial
Hotel, Grand Bend, followed by
a reception and supper in the
Dashwood Community Centre.
A public reception was held in
the evening at the Zurich Com-
munity Centre.
For travelling to Niagara
Falls and Buffalo, the bride
changed to a powdered blue
sheath, accented by bell-shaped
white satin three-quarter sleeves
and top.
The couple will reside in
Zurich.
