Winners of the awards were two grade eight students, Jane Pyette and John Goddard, shown here with the hon- our roll which will bear their name. Deichert, teacher WELCOME HOME — A cousin who has been away from these parts for the past 66 years was welcomed home recently by mem- bers of the Lamont family. Shown here, seat- ed, are Jane Lamont, Margaret and Mary A., while standing are Sherman Nicholson and Roy Lamont. Mr. Nicholson, who hails from LaFleche, Saskatchewan, was born on the Goshen Line north, and attended school at SS 5, Stanley, for some time. He also lived on the Bluewater highway for a while, before moving out west 66 years ago. While in these parts, Mr. Nicholson looked over his •old homes, as well as visiting his aunt, Mrs. Jean McKinley, and cousins, Mrs. Jack Scotchmer and Mrs. Campbell McKinley. The combined ages of the five cousins, who have not met for 66 years, amounts to 371 years. $3.00 PER YEAR -- 7 CENTS PER COPY South Huron High School Results Results of examinations at South Huron District High School, released this week, show that 91% of the students in grade nine passed; 93% in grade ten; 79.75'1- in grade eleven; and 87.5% in grade 12. Jamie Caldwell, Gregory Camp- bell, John Charrette, Vallerie Dashwood Men inures in Crash Two Dashwood district broth- ers, Jacob and Amiel Fischer, were seriously injured on Tues- day night when the car in which they were driving left the road and hit a telephone post. The accident occurred between 11 and 12 o'clock on the 14th con- cession of Hay. Both injured men were taken to hospitals in London, by two district ambulances, Westlake of Zurich, and Hoffman, of Dashwood. One of them is in St. Joseph's Hospital, and the other in Victoria. Dr. V. Gulens, of Dashwood, attended the men at the scene of the accident. OPP of the Exeter detachment are investi- gating. Clark.
