WELCOME HOME — A cousin who has
been away from these parts for the past 66
years was welcomed home recently by mem-
bers of the Lamont family. Shown here, seat-
ed, are Jane Lamont, Margaret and Mary A.,
while standing are Sherman Nicholson and
Roy Lamont. Mr. Nicholson, who hails from
LaFleche, Saskatchewan, was born on the
Goshen Line north, and attended school at
SS 5, Stanley, for some time. He also lived on
the Bluewater highway for a while, before
moving out west 66 years ago. While in these
parts, Mr. Nicholson looked over his •old
homes, as well as visiting his aunt, Mrs. Jean
McKinley, and cousins, Mrs. Jack Scotchmer
and Mrs. Campbell McKinley. The combined
ages of the five cousins, who have not met
for 66 years, amounts to 371 years.

GOING! GOING! GONE! This was the
story recently when auctioneer Alvin Walper
offered for sale by public auction three prop-
erties belonging to the Hay School Area.
Mr. Walper is shown here at what was known
as the tin school. just as he was calling f:;r
the last bid on the property, which was pur-
chased by Rudolph Becker. A large crowd
of interested spectators followed the sales.
