Those attending were their son, Mer- vyn, and Mrs. Mervyn Stelck, of Bradford; their daughter Patsy, with her husband, and their two sons, Peter and Evan, of Toronto. Also present were Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Hey, of Credi- ton, nieee and nephew of Mr. and Mrs. Stelck. On Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Stelck's son treated their par- ents to a long car ride to see the beauty of the countryside. During the week they were vis- ited by relatives from a dis- tance, Dr. and Mrs. Calt, of Ed- monton; Mrs. Walter Fassold and Mrs, Ada Ratz, London: Mrs. Ratz was the flower girl when they were married in 1907. William Hey, of Dash- wood, brother of Mrs. Stelck, was the best man, and Miss Mar- garet Stelck, of California, was bridesmaid, and these attend- ants are all living. Everyone wishes to extend hearty congratulations to Mr. and Mrs, Stelck, who for so many years lived in this area and were so happy to have spent their lives in the com- munity. Carmel Sr. WAAS Entertain Guests On Anniversary The senior Women's Mission- ary Society of Carmel Presby- terian Church celebrated their 74th anniversary on Thursday evening, with guests from Zur- icfi Evangelical Church and First Presbyterian Church, Sea - forth, and the .Arnold Circle of the church. Mrs. Earl Campbell and Mrs. Harvey Hyde conducted the de- votion, the theme being "Faith", and., "How to apply faith in building our spiritual houses". Miss Hannah Murray assisted. Guest speaker was Fred Slo- man, of Clinton, who told of his experiences as a teacher and friend of the people in the northern country, using a travelling railway car as .his school room and home. Rader Re -union The annual Rader re -union was held at Riverside Park, Ex- eter, June 21, with about 100 in attendance. Lorne Klopp was president and welcomed every- one. Winners in the sports, with Ervin Rader in charge, were: Five and under, Diane Rader; 6-8, girls, Sharon Rader; boys, Tommy Hayter; 9-11, Marlene Rader and Gary Gamble; 12-15, Janine Horman and Paul Rader; young ladies, Gail Richardson; young men, David Rader; mar- ried men, Wendell Gamble; 3 - legged race, Janine Horman and Marlene Rader, Neil Gamble and Douglas Rader; 4 -legged race, Ed Prang, Ray Weido and Larry Fleet; adult partner races, sack, Mrs. Herb Klopp and Elmer Rader; twist, Mrs. Herb Klopp and Elmer; string, Mrs. LIoyd Rader and Garnet Wei - berg; drink the bottle, Mrs. Lloyd Rader. Piano Recital Mrs. Harold Stire, A.W.C.1VI, held a piano recital for her pupils, with the parents and friends present. Gordon Ratz was chairman for the program. Marlene Barr, of London, play- ed violin selections and Miss Susan Kumpel:, of Kitchener, ac- cordion selections. The pupils played duets and solos after which the older children super- vised games while the mothers prepared lunch. Mr. and Mrs, Glen Rader have returned from their honey- moon spent on .a trip to the east coast where they visited with the latter's sister and family. Church held their final social evening with bowling at Grand Bend followed by lunch at the Snack Shop. Wednesday afternoon, June 17, the Boys' and Girls' Fellow- ship of the E.U.B. Church held their closing picnic at Mr. and Mrs. Howard Klumpp's cottage. There was games and swim- ming. The social conveners for this group, Mrs. Ray Guenther, Mrs, Hugh Boyle and Mrs. How- ard Klumpp, served a wiener roast at the close of the pro- gram. Mrs. Merrill James spent Thursday at Silver Lake E.U.B. camp site, where the confer- ence executive of the WSWS met to plan the fall program. Monday, June 29, Rev, and Mrs. Merrill James and family leave on vacation. They will be tenting in provincial parks and visiting their homes in Ottawa and Waltham, Quebec. They plan to return on July 25. Three men from the E.U.B. Church, Jack Gaiser, Lloyd Eagleson and Stuart Wolfe, at- tended a men's camp retreat at Silver Lake during the week- end. Gordon Kraft, delegate, and Rev, William Getz attended the Lutheran church conference at. Ottawa last week.
