JESUS CHRIST IS LORD!
"For if ye forgive nien their trespasses your heavenly
Father will forgive you. But if ye forgive not men their
trespasses neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
And when ye fast be not as the hypocrites, sad faced for
they disfigure their faces that they may be seen of men
to fast. Amen 1 say unto you they have their full reward.
But when thou fastest anoint thy head and wash thy face
that thou be seen not of men to fast, but of thy Father
who is in secret and thy Father who seeth in secret shall
recompense thee."
Thus saith the Lord.

Public Urged To
Attend Clinic
The subject is People and the
Sleeping Dragon—TB ! We, the
people, will find several items
in this newspaper about the
area TB clinic which will be
held in Zurich Community Cen-
tre the latter part of June and
beginning of July.
TB is a dread disease, a sleeping
dragon, which we, the people,
may be earring around for a
long period of time, then sud-
denly it niay flare up and we
are unaware we may be spread-
ing it among our friends, fam-
ily, children and grandchildren
Yes TB niay be sleeping with-
in us, then suddenly awaken
and strike at will among those
we love most. We, the people,
do not want a terrible thing like
that to hang over our head, so
read all you can about the corn-
ing clinic, study and give it
much thought. If you do not at-
tend this free clinic, you may be
starting an epidemic. It has
happened before, and could hap-
pen again,

Welcome Member
Into Organization
Lutheran Church Women held
their mooting Tuesday evening
with an attendance of 32 mem-
bers. Mrs, Charles Thiel, Mrs,
Fleischauer, Mrs. J. Ilaberer
and Mrs. E. Yungblut were in
charge of the program and
showed two films,
"My Family's Hungry", show-
ing the "needy" longing for edu-
cation and bare necessities of
life, and stressing the need of
more missionaries and parish
workers. "The World Is Our
Family", we can help fill the
daily needs of our family
through our LCW budget.
The film, "The Glad Church
and the Sad Church". A glad
church is busy with endless
well planned projects. A bee-
hive of activities makes a smil-
ing church. A sad church is
disorganized in too many ways,
thus causing an unhappy dis-
4
cantenment among member.,.
The president, Mrs, Broken -
shire, took charge of the busi-
ness. The May committee re-
ported 23 sick visits were made.
Also they appreciated the don-
ations of clothing from the con-
gregation.
For L.W.R., six large boxes
were packed on May 19 and
sent to headquarters in Kit-
chener. It was favoured that
the L,C,W. serve snacks to the
children attending V.C.S.
Thanks and appreciation were
expressed to all ladies who vol-
untarily laboured a total of 500
hours during the three weeks in
redecorating the interior of the
parsonage.
Mrs. A. C. Blackwell was wel-
comed to the organization as a
member.
