ZURICH FROM THE AIR — Can you pick out your
home or place of business in this photograph? Taken from
the southwest corner of the village, the photo shows the
school to the right, and at the extreme right -top corner is
the community centre. This photo was taken several weeks
ago, before all the leaves were out on the trees.
Canadian social worker Doris Clark invites you to write
her about your problem. She answers letters of general
interest, in this column but can't undertake personal replies.
DEAR DORIS—I am a middle-
aged divorcee. A friend of
mine once told me you should
kiss a man for driving you
hone. What are you supposed
to do.
I met a bachelor at a dance
who drove me home. He ap-
proached me with sex. He
thinks that's the only way you
can find the right mate. How-
ever, I don't agree.
PRIM AND PROPER
DEAR PRIM—That is a good
line, but that's all it is. Un-
scrupulous males often use the
excuse that they can't find the
right mate without experiment-
ing.
It just isn't so. Human love
can he a far superior emotion
to physical attraction. Two
people who find themselves
drawn to each other compan-
ionably, because they have sim-
ilar interests and feel the same
way about things, can develop
a physical interest in each other
which is far more satisfying
and permanent than anything
which comes of mere physical
attraction.
Re kissing as a pay-off for a
happy evening: the answer is
NO.
DEAR DORIS—I am. the most
mixed up 13 -year-old around,
I think. I have one brother
and one sister. They have so
many nicknames for me I don't
know if they are talking to me
Your neighbours profit from using
ATRAZINE*
Shouldn't You?
"Control almost 100%
Ill
says Andy McLaughlin, Waterdown, Ontario
"This was my first year using. Atrazine and I am pleased with
the result," says Mr. McLaughlin. I used a heavier applica-
tion on very grassy areas and got almost 100% control"
Atrazine treatment is normal routine with successful corn
growers. Your neighbours, who have used Atrazine, will tell
you they wouldn't grow corn without it.
One application of Atrazine controls weeds all season long
including those in the rows which can't be reached by cultiva-
tion. Start using Atrazine this year ... discover how profitable
corn production can be.
Ask your farm supply dealer for an instructional leaflet on the
new, more concentrated formula, Atrazine 6$W. Place your
order now and get your sprayer ready on time.

spent Sunday with his father,
Mr Norman Long, and Mrs.

week were Mr. and Mrs. Ed

treat me like an animal. They
pick on me and if they don't
feel like doing any work they
make me do it,
My Mom and Dad are just
as bad. I lay in bed and cry
to myself thinking about it. It
makes me so mad I think I
could sometimes take an over-
does of sleeping pills.
UNWANTED
DEAR UNWANTED—Believe
it or not, nicknames are terms
of affection. And they tease
you because they are interested
in you. Just let anybody else
pick on you and it's my guess
they would put up a fight!
Life can be rough on us at
13. But things improve. Next
time you feel like crying, find a
shoulder to cry on — either
Mother's or Dad's. They have
no idea how badly you feel.

UCW Meeting
The . United Church Women
of St. Andrew's Church, Kippen,
held their May meeting in the
Sunday school rooms on Tues-
day, May 12, at 8:15 o'clock.
Twenty-three ladies were in at-

DEAR DORIS --Could you
help me with my problem? I
would like a job keeping house
in a motherless home, or for
an elderly couple — in short,
where I wouldn't be working
for another woman. I am 42
years of age, and I have a 15 -
year -old daughter and a six-
year-old son with me.
I wrote to the ,employment
office and got a form to fill out.
I don't want forms; I need a
place to work.
LOVES HOMEMAKING
DEAR LOVES — What on
earth did you think they'd send
you? A job by the first mail?
Unless you are deliberately
keeping your past a secret, you
should be wanting to fill out
their form, with all possible de-
tails about what you can do
and have done.
There is usually work for a
good housekeeper, even with
children, and the National Em-
ployment Service is the place
which will find it for you.
the worship. Mrs. Bert Faber,
the presiders , chaired the meet-
ing. The minutes of both April
and March meetings were read
and adopted. Reports from the
different committees were read,
after which Mrs. K. Lovell, ac-
companied at the piano by Mrs.
L. Lovell, sang a solo. Mrs. 1I,
Jones took the topic on "India",
and she had a tape recording
an the subject with a question
and answer period afterwards.
Plans were discussed for the
summer months, and it was
agreed to hold a strawberry
supper on June 17, in the Sun-
day school rooms. A bale is to
be packed for overseas the first
week of June, .and any good
used clothing will be very ac-
ceptable. Courtesy remarks
were given by Mrs. Edgar Mc-
Bride, after which the meeting
closed, Mrs. Lovell, hostess, as-
sisted by Mrs. K. Lovell, served
lunch. This was followed with
a "penny sale" which brought
