Wedding
CONSITT—BOYES
White lilac and green ferns
formed the setting for the mar-
riage of Helen Margaret Boyes,
daughter of Mr_ and Mrs. Ed-
ward J. Boyes, Egmondville,
and John Ralph Consitt, son of
Mrs. Eileen Consitt, RR 1, Zur-
ich, and the late Russell Con-
sitt, at Egmondville United
Church on Saturday, May 23.
Rev. John Varcly officiated at
the double ring ceremony. Mrs
A. Scott played the wedding
music and accompanied violin
soloist, Mr. Bill MacLean, Eg-
mondvill, in "The Wedding
Prayer" and "Love's Greeting".
The bride, given in marriage
by her father, wore a controlled
gown of silk organza over taf-
feta with scoop neckline and
long lilypoint sleeves. The
gown was accented by a waist-
band of French lace and seed
pearls with a matching band at
the hemline. For her headpiece
the bride chose a tiara of se-
quins and seed pearls, veil with
appliques of French lace, and
•
she carried pink rosebuds on a
white Bible.
Miss Dorothy Boyes was maid
of honor for her sister. Her
gown of green silk organza over
taffeta featured a scoop neck-
line, short sleeves with lace in-
sert, the waist of the gown
also being accented by white
lace. A crown of white lace
with white veiling and long
white gloves completed her cos-
tume, and she carried pink
carnations.
Bridesmaids Miss Margaret
Chesney, RR 3, Seaforth, and
Miss Nancy Consitt, RR 1, Zur-
ich, sister of the groom, wore
gowns identical to that of the
maid of honor, and carried pink
carnations.
Miss Dianne Consitt, flower
girl, wore a dress of white crys-
tal charm, a ring of pink dais-
ies for a headpiece, white gloves
and carried a nosegay of pink
carnations.
David Smith, as ringbearer,
wore a grey double knitted suit.
Mr. Tom Consitt, of Varna, was
best man, and ushers were Mr,
James Consitt and Mrs. James
Boyes.
:Following the ceremony a
reception, served by the ladies
of the church, was held in the
church basement. The bride's
mother received in a turquoise
linen suit with pink accessor-
ies and pink corsage. She was
assisted by the mother of the
groom, wearing a blue lace
sheath with matching hat and
gloves, and wearing a pink cor-
sage. The bride's table was cen-
tered with a wedding cake and
flanked by pink candles. Other
table centres were of lily of the
valley and pink daisies.
For a wedding trip to Win-
nipeg the bride donned a blue
linen two-piece suit with black
straw picture had and black
patent accessories. The couple
will reside in Egmondville,
