Big Circus Will
Come To Hensall
Youngsters of the area, as
well as many adults will be
looking forward to seeing the
circus when the Gene Cody and
Kipling Bros. Combined Circus
is slated to present two per-
formances at the Hensall Com-
munity Park( under the spon-
sorship of the Kinsmen Club of
Hensall.
The big vans and trucks of
the circus will roll into town
during the early hours of the
morning and will move directly
to the showgrounds where the
work of setting up the huge
tents and other circus para-
phynalia will get underway.
The Gene Cody and Kipling
Bros. Combined Circus, now in
its 26th annual tour, has kept
abreast with modern times and
is presenting America's newest
innovation of a tent circus.
Even though the ponderous ele-
phants wearing special leather
work harness, are still used in
many ways in erecting the Big
Top, you will be amazed at the
many new ways that have sys-
temized the circus work. The
performance, too, has a spark-
ling shine of newness. Colorful
youthful, clean and fresh, mak-
ing it truly a performance of
beauty—the world finest family
circus.

Lift Toll Charge
For Kirkton
Long distance charges will be
removed from telephone calls
placed between Exeter and
Kirkton, late this year.
The announcement was made
jointly this week by the Blan-
shard Municipal Telephone Sys-
tem and the Bell Telephone
Company.
Officials of the two compan-
les said the proposal is a result
of the community interest that
exists between the two centres.
Because telephone rates are
based on the number of tele-
phones that can be reached
without long distance charges,
the plan will mean a slight in-
crease in monthly rates in both
