IN MEMORIAM
Gingerich—In loving memory
of a dear wife and mother,
Pearl Gingerich, who passed
away two years ago, May 9,
1962.
This month comes with sad re-
gret,
It brings a day we shall never
forget;
She fell asleep without good-
bye,
But memory of her will never
die;
Asleep in God's beautiful gar-
den,
Free from all sorrows and pain,
And when our life's journey is
ended,
We know we shall meet her
again.
—Sadly missed by her husband,
Jacob Gingerich, and children
and grandchildren: Rev. and
Mrs. Cyril Gingerich, Mr. and
Mrs. Gerald Gingerich, Mr. and
Mrs. Victor Gingerich, Mr. and
Mrs. Cleve Gingerich, and Mr.
and Mrs. Wally Dirks, 20,p
Schwartzentruber — In loving
memory of a dear mother
and grandmother, Mrs. Jacob
Schwartzentruber, who passed
away 20 years ago, May 21, 1944.
Softly the leaves of memory
fall,
Tenderly we gather them all,
Just as she was, she will always
be
A beautiful thought in our
memory;
True was her heart, her actions
so kind,
Her life was a pattern for
those left behind.
A beautiful soul in the garden
of rest,
The saying is true, God chose
the best.
Sadly missed and always re-
membered by her family.

cial thanks to the ladies of the
E.U.B. Church, Rev. Am'acher,

League Purpose
Told St. Peter's
St. Peter's Catholic Women's
League held their May meeting
•on May 12, with 16 members
present. The president, Mrs.
Lawrence Regier, was in the
chair.
Monsignor Bourdeau opened
the meeting with prayers. He
then welcomed the new mem-
bers of the executive. Mrs.
Regier gave a few words of wel-
come to all and especially a
new .member, Mrs, Martin. Roll
was called and minutes read
and approved,
Monsignor Bourdeau talked
to the ladies about the real rea-
son for the Catholic Women's
League, with its first function
to be spiritual in nature. He
added he is happy to see that
this predominates the parish
organization. The money angle

Monsignor Bourdeau wishes
to see still more Sunday com-
munions, and likes to see the
family received Communion to-
gether. When at mass, Mon-
signor wishes everyone to take
a more active part in the re-
sponses, and he commented on
how pleased he is that so many
of the boys and girls going to
high school keep answering the
priest as they did in grade
school.
The Canadian Bishops' Coun-
cil have sent a request on to
Rome to have as much of the
mass as possible spoken in the
vernacular. Mother Rosella,
principal, asked for financial
help to give the graduates of
grade 8 a communion breakfast
and each a gift. Mrs. Matthew
Denomme's motion approved
and Mrs. Hector Forcier sec-
onded the motion.
Mrs. Agnes Siemon motioned
and Mrs. Louis Masse seconded
that the meeting be adjourned.
Prayers to Our Lady of Good
Counsel and a social hour con-
cluded the meeting.
