Mr. and Mrs. Herb Mousseau spent the weekend in Barrie, with Mr, and Mrs. Grant Case and family. 1\Iiss Donna Merner has re- turned home after spending the past two years in Australia. Ed Haberer, who has been a patient in Vietoria Hospital, for the past couple of weeks, has returned home. Miss Kathleen Hess, R,N,, of London, has been spending a few days at the home of her parents, Mr, and Mrs, Albert Hess. Mr, and Mrs. ernie Denomme have moved to the farm home of Charles Rau, on the Blue - water highway, and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Ducharme, of Dashwood, have moved into the home formerly occupied by the Denomme's in Zurich. LLL Convention Nine men and ladies of Zion Luthern Church attended .the 14th annual convention of the Lutheran Laymen's League at James M. Minifie is a man with a nose for news. He's full-time correspondent for the CBC in Washington, provid- ing regular "live" commentaries for CBC radio and tele- vision. A native of Burton. England, 63 -year-old Minifie came to Canada at an early age and studied at Regina Col- lege and the University of Saskatchewan. A Rhodes scholar, he graduated from Oxford in 1926. Thirteen ladies from Zion Lutheran Church attended the Lutheran Women's Missionary League rally at Seebach's Hill on Monday evening, May 4. The theme for the rally was, `The Love of Christ Constrain- eth Us__. Mrs. Schneider, of Niagara Falls, N.Y., who with her husband spent 18 years in Brazil, was guest speaker, tell- ing of their work among the people.
