You Are Welcome
JESUS CHRIST IS LORD!
"Which of you convictefh me of Sin"
These are the words of Jesus of Nazareth. Yes, no one
could convict Him of sin --not even the devil himself. He
never thought an evil thought, never spoke an evil word
for He was perfect — Sinless.
Our beloved Peter speaks of Him as the Lamb without spot
or blemish.
Won't you join us in worshipping the sinless Saviour as
Lord.
THE MENNONITE EVANGELISM COMMITTEE
Canadian social worker Doris Clark invites you to write
her about your problem. She answers letters of general
interest in this column but can't undertake personal replies.
DEAR DORIS—I am a 17 -
year -old girl, seemingly normal,
have dates, go to school.
Four years ago, in grade
eight, I had a lovely woman
teacher, I absolutely worship-
ped her. I found myself rush-
ing to school( early, so that I
might catch a glimpse of her as
she went into the school.
Well, I suppose that was a
reasonable form of hero wor-
ship, to this day I actually love
this lady. I serve her some-
times in my part-time job at
school, and nearly go crazy
when I do.
Why do I have such feelings?
DREAMING OF HER
DEAR DREAMING — She is
meeting a need you have felt
for someone to idealize. Be re-
assured. You are not homo-
sexual,
As you mature more you wi
come to recognize that th
woman is human just like th
rest of us, and that a human
type, companionable regard i
more flattering to her tha
cloud -nine heroine worship.
DEAR DORIS —I have bee
having a half-breed boy — in
early twenties — at my home
He is a talented artist and I
have been trying to encourage
him.
Now I have been warned not
to have him around because he
has been in serious trouble with
the law. I made inquiries and
found that he has been in jail
three times. He always seemed
to he respectable in every way.
Please advise me.
UNCLE BILL
DEAR UNCLE BILL — What's
the rest of the story? I'd want
to know when, and for what, he
served jail sentences.
If he has served his time and
has turned over a new leaf, his
past record should not hang
over his head for the rest of
his life. If he is unrepentant,
that's different.
You could get sound advice
about this young man by going
to the nearest branch of The
John Howard Society, a Cana-
dian organization which helps
to rehabilitate ex -prisoners.
DEAR DORIS—My trouble is
mostly money and a domineer-
ing husband. He is full of self-
pity because of an operation he
had, yet there is nothing I can
do that satisfies him,
He has run up debts until
there is no money for decent
clothes, yet he won't let me ac-
cept a job I've been offered.
We jump when he says. He is
very sex inclined and I have no
inclination, so he accuses me of
having someone else. I never

is Mental Health Week •(AprIl
e 26 to May 2) is an appropriate
- time to make an appeal for
s hospital visitors to your read -
n ers. It is an unfortunate fact
that we have a number of pa-
tients at our hospital who never
n receive visits and are conse-
quently very lonely people.
• The staff on my particular serv-
ice has come up with .a sugges-
tion for an experiment which
might appeal to those of your
readers, young or old, who are
interested in people and have a
few hours to spare each week.
We would like to find sev-
eral people of any age, educa-
tion or occupation who would
"adopt" one patient each, with
the idea of visiting regularly
and perhaps taking the patient
for walks, etc. There would be
opportunities for visitors to dis-
cuss with staff, problems they
may have in the relationship
and ideas for helping the pa-
tient towards recovery.
If any of your readers would
like to discuss this idea further,
they should contact Miss Tade-
son at 524-7331, local 5, or write
directly to me.
Yours very truly,
D. H. Moogk, M.D.,
Assistant Superintendent.

DEAR SICK—Climb up out
of the base/net and turn your
tears into concrete action.
Your husband is a bully—and
should be stood up to! If you
