Canadian social worker Doris Clark inyites you to write
her about your problem. She answers letters of genera%
interest in this column but can't undertake personal replies.
DEAR DORIS—When the boy
next door showed an interest
in my daughter, his mother kept
inviting his old steady down.
He didn't stem too happy about
it and tried to break off. Then
his mother cried and felt so
bad that he made up with her,
She keeps reminding my
daughter that her son is going
steady: but then she takes pity
on him and lets him take her
out. At Easter they saw each
other one night and she came
home looking terrible. She
didn't sleep.
Does this sound silly to you?
It really isn't when it affects
your own household.

DEAR DORIS—Next month?
Fellowship has a!
tin planners on "Budgets".
I a,a program chairman but I'ni
afraid I haven't a clue as to
how to go about it.
We have spoken of other
things that could be budgeted
besides money, such as time.
As I have a full time job and
a family, I felt qualified to con-
tribute! I had thought of try-
ing to put on a skit in a light
vein on how to do two things
at 'once.
Could you think of anything
else one could learn to budget?
MADAME CHAIRMAN
DEAR CHAIRMAN — How
about talents? Most of us have
several lying dormant—sources
of broader horizons and good
fun. They may become hobbies,
recreation, money makers — or
all of them!
Then there's reading time.
We really have to fight for this
one.
I suppose the ideal is to pro -
rain our lives in such a way
that we develop fourfold —
physically. mentally, socially
and spiritually. Good time -and -
money budgeting would provide
for all of them.
DEAR DORIS—I am a sopho-
more university student and an
extreme introvert. I just can't
siem to get out of my shell.

ST. JOSEPH and. DRYSDALE
Mrs. Marceline Corriveau of
the 14th concession after spend-
ing more than two months in
the Clinton Hospital is now at
her home much improved, We
wish her a very speedy recov-
ery that she may again enjoy
good health.
Yours truly and Mrs. Du-
eharme were Thursday last vis-
itors at the home of their
daughter, Mrs, Theresa Hart-
man, and while in Zurich Mr,
Ducharme had a very friendly
visit at the hone of Mr. and
Mrs. Chester Smith. They re-
newed many past incidents and
bringing back memories of the
times when Mr. and Mrs. Smith
were publishers of the old Zur-
ich Herald. They, too, are feel-
ing the weight of years but re-
gardless they are able to help
themselves well so that they
may enjoy many more years of
retirement.
Mr, and Mrs. Don MMIasse and
family of Ilderton were Satur-
day visitors with Mr. and Mrs.
Avila Ducharme and family of
the Blucwater south.
Father Martin, of Canard
River, on a return trip from
Montreal, spent some time at
the home of Mr. Isadore Du-
charme, before returning to his
Canard River parish.
Visitors at the home of Mr.
and Mrs. Leon Bedard over the
having fun, I just stay at home
and watch television alone.
I grew up on a little isolated
island where social life was
lacking and I guess this is part
of niy problem.
DICK
DEAR DICK —A shy person
dies a thousand deaths in try-
ing to break through the shell
of his own making. Anglish,
isn't it?
Here's a secret. More people
are shy than you think! Secret
Number Two: You are male,
and therefore have the right to
ask for a date when you want
one. What have you got to
I lose?
Take courage! You learn to
mix by nixing. I am sending
you a leaflet entitled "Don't Be
{ Shy!", and a reading list.
(Note to readers: Above leaf-
let and list may be had by
writing in to this newspaper,
enclosing ten cents and a stamp-
ed, self-addressed envelope.)
weekend were from London,
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ryder and
family, Mr. and Mrs. Michael
Masse and family and while
here they took part in the
Bedard -Dignan Wedding and re-
ception which was largely at-
tended.
Sunday last, a beautiful
spring day, many took advan-
tage to motor towards the lake,
perhaps to put their cottage in
shape for their summer vacat-
ion which for some will as
usual come early in the season.
Daylight Time ! !
Mother of three, it has been
a long time since we have heard
from you, we believe two years
or perhaps more, when you had
placed a complaint in this paper
concerning the daylight saving
time and what you thought it
caused your children. It prob-
ably will again be asked to us,
and it will again give you the
privilege to renew your disap-
proval, At the present time
there is also much proposing
and talk, regarding the :school
question and its disagreement
among the people of the rural
districts in Western Ontario.
It would be an appropriate
time for you to launch a disap-
proval against both the daylight
saving time and the school ques-
tion by placing your name as a
candidate in the coming elec-
tion for the highest offices in
this township.
We believe you would be
crowned with success, you
would .have the rural people at
your side along with others. We
are certain you would accom-
plish wonders for the people
you would be representing.

says Elmer McFaul, Townline Farms, Hillier, Ontario
"Spraying with Atrazine is a regular part of our corn manage-
ment," Mr. McFaul says. "This year we sprayed over 200
acres. Since using Atrazine we have harvested bigger crops
with less labour."
Atrazine treatment is normal routine with successful corn
growers. Your neighbours, who have used Atrazine, will tell
you they wouldn't grow corn without it.
One application of Atrazine controls weeds all season long
including those in the rows which can't be reached by cultiva-
tion. Start using Atrazine this year ... discover how profitable
corn production can be.
Ask your farm supply dealer for an instructional leaflet on the
new, more concentrated formula, Atrazine 65W. Place your
order now and get your sprayer ready on time.
