Bob Merner, of Zurich, was

last week at St. Joseph Esso

home of her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Leel and Willert.
Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Sehilbe
and family spent Sunday in
London with Mr. and Mrs, Ray
Sehilbe and family.
Mr. and Mrs, Ernest Gemming
and family, of Rochester, N.Y.,
are spending a few days with
Mr. and Mrs. Ross Johnston,
and Mrs. Mel Johnston.

and Mrs, Ed Stelck were pleas-

son and daughter, of Toronto.

daughter, Karen, of Fillmore,
Sask., visited recently at the
home of Mr, and Mrs, Hilton
Truemner and family, Mr, and

Plan Recital At
Lutheran Church
An organ recital is planned
for Sunday evening, April 12,
at St. Peter's Lutheran Church,
Zurich. Guest organist will be
Mr. Douglas Campbell, organ-
ist from St. John's Lutheran
Church. Waterloo.
As an additional highlight,
the choir of St. John's, Water-
loo, will be present to add to
the programme. -
The new organ, recently in-
stalled and dedicated, has been
in use for a few weeks but this
will be the first opportunity for
the congregation and visitors,
who are welcomed, to enjoy this
fine instrument. Pastor A. Con-
rad will conduct the program.

Funeral service for Arthus
Lawrence Harvey, of Shamrock,
Texas, was held at St. Ambrose
Catholic Church, Detroit, on
Monday, April 6, with inter-
ment in St. Boniface Cemetery,
Zurich, on Monday afternoon.
Mr. Harvey passed away in
Texas on Wednesday, April 1.
Surviving besides his wife are:
one daughter, Mrs. Mozart
(Marie) Gelinas, Zurich; son,
George M. Harvey, Detroit; sis-
ter, Sister Rose Ursula, O.P., St.
Jude Convent, Detroit; brother,
Casper, Windsor; Elmer, of
Orangegrove, Cal.

Robert Westlake, of Zurich,
has recently been successful in
obtaining a general insurance
licence after writing the De-
partment of Insurance examin-
ations in Stratford. He will be
associated with the J. W. Ha-

Confirmands of Zion Luther-
an Church were guests of the
Walther League, along with
their parents, Tuesday, March
31. The evening opened with 1
a film, "This Is the Life". A
sing -song preceded group
games, Members of the League
outlined the moto and doings of
the organization, Lunch was
served.
Percy Kleinstiver, of Aurora,
Illinois, recently spent a few
days with Mr. and NIrs. Albert
Rader, also visiting with his
mother, Mrs. Effie Kleinstiver,
who has been a patient at South
Huron Hospital for some time.
Infant Baptized
Daniel James Valentine, in-
fant son of Mr. and Mrs. James
Becker, was baptized in Zion
Luthern Church, Sunday, April
5, by Rev. William Gatz. Mr.
and Mrs. Valentine Becker were
sponsors.
Bruce Eagleson
Bruce Eagleson, 53, passed
away at his late residence,
Southcott Pines, Grand Bend,
Friday, April 3, following a
heart attack. Surviving are his
Wife, the former Beatrice Stat -
ton; two daughters, Mrs. Gerald
(Kathryn) Broderick, of Exeter;
and Mrs. Douglas (Mary Lou)
Dixon, Parkhill; two
sons,
Ger-
ald
and Jack of Grand Bend;
his mother, Mrs. William Eagle
son, Grand Bend; one sister,
Mrs, Ross Guenther, Dashwood;
two brothers, William and Ray
of Detroit.
Mrs. Eagleson was a building
contractor.
The body rested at the T.
Harry Hoffman funeral home
until Monday, April 6, when
service was conducted by Rev.
C. A. Britton, of Grand Bend
United Church, of which he was
a member, Interment was made
in Grand Bend Cemetery.
Popular Couple Married at Exeter
White mums and fern formed ston, sisters of the groom, and
a beautiful setting in Trivitt
Memorial Anglican Church, Ex
eter, on Saturday, April 4, 1964,
at three p.nl., for the marriage
of Robert Johnston and Carole
Gibbons. The grom's parents
are Mr. and Mrs. Ross Johnston,
and the bride is a daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Gibbon, of
Lindsay.
Rev. J. P, Gandon performed
the double ring ceremony.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride chose a floor -
length gown of pure silk organ-
za. The fitted bodice was styled
with long lilypoint sleeves and
a high scoop neckline appliqued
with motifs of French corded
lace. The waistline was also
embellished with matching
lace scallops, finished with a
bow. Her controlled skirt intro-
duced a generous chapel train.
To complete her ensemble the
bride chose a tiara of circular
pearl to hold her bouffant fing-
ertip veil. She carried a bou-
quet of orange delight roses and
ivy.
Mrs. Pauline Miller, Zurich,
was matron of honour and she
wore a cocktail length dress of
apricot satapeau styled with a
scoop neckline, elbow length
sleeves, with midriffs of white
lace, and the bellshaped skirt
was finished with bows at the
waist. She wore an open pill
box headpiece and carried a
cascade of white mums tinted
apricot.

bons, sister of the bride; Carole
Johnston and Elizabeth John-
