Combines Face Big Test on Friday
Night When Strathroy Are Visitors
In one of the poorest exhi-
bitions of sportsmanship ever
seen in this area, the Hensall-
Zurich Combines kept their win-
ning streak intact an Friday
night, as they walloped the 1
lowly Watford Atoms by a 12.41
• score. The low point in the vis-
itor's performance came mid-
way through the third period
after they had been assessed 12
penalties, and their coach pull-
ed the players off the ice. What
the OHA will do with the coach
of the team, for his part of the
Ovens Cause Fire
if Over-`eated
show, remains to be seen.
Big Game Friday
The stage is now set for the
biggest game of the season this
Friday night, when the locals
will entertain the high -flying
Strathroy Rockets. To date
both teams have lost only one
game, and have been see -sawing
back and forth for first place
in the league. In 10 games so
far this season the Combines
have scored 108 goals, while
they had only 44 scored against
them. Friday night's game will
decide first place in the Sham-
rock League.
Combines 12 -Watford 4
The first period of the Fri-
day night contest was fairly
even, as the locals scored three
times to the visitor's twice. But
in the second period the visi-
tor's ran into a flock of stupid
penalties and the Combines
rapped in six goals to their two.
The big flare-up came in the
third period when the visitors
were handed three misconducts,
and a bench penalty against the
coach. It was at this point in
the game that the coach pulled
his players off the ice, and the
game was over.

over the pan.
Fire in a Pan
Fire in a frying pan can be
extinguished by sprinkling or-
dinary baking soda or salt on
it. However if you do this, you
may have to get something else
to eat for supper.
One added note of caution:
Before you start cooking, check
the nearby window curtains
and hanging towels to be sure
they cannot blow over the
burners.
